Nainital

This place is located at a distance of 28 km from Naukuchiatal, at a height of 1,938 m above sea level. Nainital is named so, as the lake, set amidst mountains with thick alpine trees, is shaped like an eye. Nainital is found to be in the Kumaon province and is one of the 13 regions of Uttarakhand State. Nainital is known by the nickname of Lake District, because it dotted with five lakes i.e. Nainital, Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, Khurpatal, and Sat Tal. The lake provides a completely different view during the night time, when the lights of the houses, cottages and hotels placed around the area surrounding Nainital, reflect upon it, lending an appearance of another city beneath the lake.
