Nainital is a great place to unwind throughout the year and you add a good hotel, your stay becomes memorable. It was my third visit to Nainital in this July. Some people avoid hills in monsoon but in my view the hills are at best during the monsoon. Agreed, the high ranges of Himalayas would not be visible but Nainital is not the best place for that and landslides etc does not posess any major threat in reaching this place. When else would you see waterfalls on almost every single turn. How about the beautiful cloud formations all different in size and shapes. Sometimes you see them in the skies, sometimes down in the valley and sometimes you find yourselves moving right through them. A walk down the mall road with people each having a different umbrella just adds upto colors of this place. Boating in the Naini lake in rain with your umbrellas is a different experience all togather. You need not travel anywhere else to any tourist spots in this area, just lay back and relax. Monsoon is fun and we all holiday for that elusive peace of mind and just be ourselves. Don\'t we?

Best Experience: - Very well maintainted property. - Fantastic location with lake facing rooms. Offers excellent views for the Mall and the lake from the room itself. - The rooms and the lobby looks lovely after the recent makeover. - Good food and service.

Worst Experience: On the downside the hotel does not have a dedicated parking space and you need to climb stairs for around 2-3 floors to reach the reception and another 1-2 dependeing upon the room given to you. Something that may bother elderly people although it is quite common for mountain resorts.

Having visited Nainital in the \'Off Season\' i.e. November, Krishna hotel seemed to be the best and economical option amongst the rest, also considering the fact that 1. its facing the lake 2. Located on the Mall Road - the main shopping area in Nainital. 3. closer to Naina Devi temple & Bus stand (Tallital) alike.

Best Experience: Service was prompt & excellent. The hotel manager arranged our tour across Kumaon - Ranikhet, Kausani, Patal Bhubaneshwar, Mukteshwar, Almora, etc. in their own private vehicle with driver. What is better is that they have a chain of hotels across Kumaon at these places. Service at all the other places was consistent too.
