Went on a vacation for 2 days with my cousin to this place (frustrated with work and wanted to get outta the city). I generally stay in Kudle beach but all the shacks had been shut down as it was off-season (August). So we took a small trek to Om-beach and quickly found out that it was the same situation there. So Nameste Cafe was the only place open and hence we stayed there. I had visited Gokarna many times and had also passed by Nameste cafe, but never actually went inside. The place always seemed a bit expensive/classy to me when compared to other shacks during season time. Oh, this is not a shack, this is a properly built establishment. Nameste is located at the beginning of Om beach. You can either trek, take a boat to Om beach or you can just take a rickshaw or cab there. Om beach is actually a remote location. It is a combination of hilly forest and a beach. So about the cafe, It is situated in a very beautiful spot and the view from there is breath taking. The cafe consists of the ground floor and the first floor. Behind the cafe you can find the cottages and the rooms. These cottages are tucked away in the inside and its got a whole "foresty" vibe to it. Lot of trees and plants, small fountains, lamps. Etc. Found it very beautiful. The cottage which we stayed in was the cheapest one. Very basic, It had a queen sized bed with mosquito nets, a cupboard, a mirror 2 tables, a couple of chairs and an attached bathroom. The bathroom was clean and had enough space so that you could take a decent shower there. You get hot water at certain timings but that didn't bother me as the weather was hot. The food over there is fairly decent a bit expensive though(as it is a proper establishment not a shack, these shacks dominate the beaches there during the season time). You do get a wide variety of food, all cuisines. The service is excellent, found a lot of friendly waiters. The kitchen had timings the staff generally takes a break from 5-7pm. The beach outside is great. Om beach is generally filled with tourists during season time but this time it was deserted, which I kind of liked. We had the whole beach to ourselves. We spent a lot of time on the black rocks opposite to the cafe. My final verdict is that this is a good place to stay in a bit expensive though (but worth the price for the comfort when compared to the other shacks which have no attached bathrooms, no proper roof, no solid floors etc. Basically the other places there are just huts which they charge 300 bucks per night). If you want to stay in Nameste, its best to go during the off-season time when OM beach is deserted else it will be filled with annoying tourists. Its an ideal place for couples. A place where you could get some peace and quiet and stay away from technology. And about the location, You can take a dip in the sea, do some trekking(on the surrounding hills) or just take a long walk on the beach and if you have a lot of time to kill, you can even trek to other beaches(. Overall a pleasant stay. Keep in mind that the location is fairly remote, you get only the basics, No WiFi (though you do get a good cellphone reception with 2g/3g as well :p
I travelled in December month for a holiday trip to this hotel with friends. Destination of the hotel is excellent. Location of the hotel was excellent to reach the place and it was clean. Best way to reach the hotel is car. Building appearance of the hotel was very good. Front office was excellent as they were very cooperative. I booked it directly through hotel website. I liked the room and would rate very good since it was nice and clean. Room services were good as they were responding. Food was average as I did not like and it was very costly. I would suggest them to reduce the food price and it should be tasty. I wish to suggest this hotel for upcoming travellers. My experience at this hotel was good.
It was the solo trip to Gokarna. It's a small town in North Karnataka district on coast. Purpose to visit the place was just to relax in peace I spent almost 2 weeks in Namaste Cafe. This place on Om Beach is the best one to stay and chill. Rooms are clean and it is good ambience wise, they have plenty of options to stay. From ordinary one to luxury one totally depends on what kind of traveller you are. If you are back packer then you can go for ordinary room and if not then you can go luxury rooms. It's not at all expensive Food here is amazing and variety, they provide is pretty good. Indian, South Indian, Italian, Mexican & Chinese. Taste wise it's good and not at all expensive They have rooftop restaurant, where you can chill in alone, with friends or family. Sip good ledger beer or juice. They have mini library where travellers like me complete novel and drop it there so that other can read it, It's pretty good concept. If you just want to stay away from your work, family and city then it's the best place to be. Chill, read, eat, drink and sleep. Its on main beach so that you can go for swim or just gaze the ocean Staff of Namaste Cafe is very soft spoken and good, they play really good music all day and till mid night. If you are old school person then you will surely enjoy this place Ideally best time to visit is in between November and January but if you want to stay away from people and love to be alone, then visit it in June start when hardly visit Gokarna. That's what I did Go there and experience the peace.

My friend and I travelled to Gokarna for the weekend and decided to stay over in Namaste Cafe. It's a lovely little resort that's right on the Om Beach. The rooms available were clean, comfortable and maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful as well. The best part about Namaste cafe was it's wonderful open air cafe, which overlooks the beach. It is the ideal place to chill with a pint and a book or gaze at the pristine waters of the sea ahead and ponder about life, which is what we did . . The beach itself is an absolute delight! Kept spotlessly clean, it calls to the nature lover inside you. If you're looking for place where you can get out of your room and take a few steps to reach the beach, then this is definitely the place to be! Also, the food is delicious! Sea food lovers must try out the prawn dishes, it is guaranteed to leave you licking your fingers! If you're planning on travelling during the peak season, please book ahead as this place is fairly popular with tourists.
I visited Gokarna on a holiday trip. It was with my friends during the month of August 2016. I booked a room at this hotel through online. The location of the hotel was excellent as it was nearby to the OM beach. It was of walkable distance. It was convenient and the best way to reach this hotel is through the car. We traveled by own car. Free parking facility was available. The appearance was very good with the open greenery. It was natural and neatly maintained. The reception area was clean and well decorated. The staff was very good with the hospitality. They were very calm in welcoming. They knew many languages. They were polite and on time in finishing the booking process. When asked for a mini fridge in the room. They refused to provide. Rooms were very good with all the required facilities in a proper manner. It was clean. Beds were comfortable. The ambience was good and attractive. But there was mosquitoes problem. The room service was good and they were on time. Foods were excellent. The quantity and quality were very good. It was a restaurant service. It was tasty and delicious. But no complimentary food items. We didn't use any gaming amenities. The overall service was excellent and very well fulfilled. I indicate the hotel management to provide a mini fridge in the room. Other than this our stay was comfortable. So I recommend this hotel to everyone.
It was mainly a spiritual/religious visit to Gokarna, extended by a leisure tour with stay at "Namaste". First impression at the gate, although, was not very good, once at reception (with lot of walking), & then with sight of sea, the pleasure got unfolded step by step Some more attention to cleaning of the rooms, toilets, mattresses could add to good experience The staff is attentive & with focus to give service The separate kitchen or restaurant for vegetarian could also be thought of. Some people can object for the people taking liquor but it can be ignored especially in such resorts but the smell & smoke of Non-veg dishes is just not possible to digest/tolerate for veg people Overall, the experience is good. I have already recommended to quite a few of my friends.

You may not be able to use internet near the beach due to weak signal but, you can make a phone call in the beaches Again you may not get Mobile signal in the rooms that you stay No Television, you may just want to relax on the sea shore if you really want to watch news, stocks, addicted to get sleep while watching TV, then you need to consider this Rooms should be kept clean on your own since the room service will clean it only when some one vacates Rooms are smaller in size and comfortable for a couple.
The most famous place to stay on the OM beach surely lived up to its name. You couldnt ask for a better location. The cafe on the sea shore is one of the best out there and even the people from other neary hotels walk in here for tea and food.
