We visited Gokarna last October to explore the beautiful beaches and tourist spots. But we were not able to get any rooms online but we risked to figure out some place there and to our surprise our first spot Namaste Cafe had rooms to accumulate 6 of us at a decent price. The food and Kalamiri there guys we loved it all and the cafe with the view of the Om beach is extraordinary. You can also go to the Half Moon Beach trekking right towards the beach into the forest. Staying here has an advantage that you can get food till 10 and if you want to enjoy the breeze at the beach just walk over to the place in seconds.
Myself and friends had planned an exciting trip to Namaste Cafe Hotel in Gokarna, in the month of March 2017. We had thought of visiting certain sightseeing and temples in that area. We went there by car. We did the direct booking of the room when we reached the hotel. The location and appearance of the hotel were extraordinary. The front office gave prompt service, check-in and check-out were done correctly. The service responded on time. Rooms had no AC, they had normal ceiling fans. Rooms are not good and they are not worth the money we put for rent. We booked two rooms, one was good and another was bad. We had food outside the hotel. There were no amenities provided to the travelers. There was no gym and swimming pool facilities. We suggest that there should be some improvements in the room. Overall few are good and few are bad. Otherwise, it is an average hotel.
We planned a holiday trip with friends to Gokarna. We stayed in Namaste Cafe Hotel. The trip was made in the month of February 2017. We reached the hotel premises and booked the rooms directly. We stayed in the home beach. We were not at all happy the rooms. It is not worth the money that we have invested in. However, the hotel was very near to the market. It is very comfortable to shop. Appearance was not attractive but alright. Front office staff welcomed us very well. The helping staff took care of our luggage. They politely kept it in the room. The rooms are really small and congested, bathrooms are not up to the mark. We were not at all happy with the ambience of the room. We came with certain expectations and we received it differently. However, food section was impressive. The food was hygienic, we ordered nonveg items like biryani. They were very delicious and mouth watering. We had amenities there like swimming pool, But we did not make use of it. They should really look into the room aspects.
It was a holiday trip with my friends. We visited Gokarna and resided in Namaste Cafe Hotel. We booked the rooms by calling the front office staff. We had no problem reaching there. The Hotel was very near to the city. The appearance of the hotel was very attractive. Front office staff were courteous, they helped in checking in and checking out. They provided us non AC rooms, the stay was worth. We got the right service for the money we invested there. The food was provided to us in a hygienic manner and was tasty as well. They had no amenities like swimming pool and Gym. The overall experience of my stay in this hotel was more than average.
Namaste Cafe is an amazing place to stay at. The best part about being there is the location. It's placed footsteps away from the beach. A superb beach house and shack to stay at and have fun and relax with friends. The shack has a good taste in food with almost a lot of continental and quite a few Indian items too. Being near the beach, gave us the ease to visit our room and relax our whenever we needed.

Top Reviews of Namaste Cafe
My friend and I travelled to Gokarna for the weekend and decided to stay over in Namaste Cafe. It's a lovely little resort that's right on the Om Beach. The rooms available were clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful as well. The best part about Namaste cafe was it's wonderful open air cafe, which overlooks the beach. It is the ideal place to chill with a pint and a book or gaze at the pristine waters of the sea ahead and ponder about life, which is what we did. The beach itself is an absolute delight! Kept spotlessly clean, it calls to the nature lover inside you. If you're looking for place where you can get out of your room and take a few steps to reach the beach, then this is definitely the place to be! Also, the food is delicious! Sea food lovers must try out the prawn dishes, it is guaranteed to leave you licking your fingers! If you're planning on travelling during the peak season, please book ahead as this place is fairly popular with tourists.
It was mainly a spiritual/religious visit to Gokarna, extended by a leisure tour with stay at "Namaste". First impression at the gate, although, was not very good, once at reception (with lot of walking), & then with sight of sea, the pleasure got unfolded step by step. Some more attention to cleaning of the rooms, toilets, mattresses could add to good experience. The staff is attentive & with focus to give service. The separate kitchen or restaurant for vegetarian could also be thought of. Some people can object for the people taking liquor but it can be ignored especially in such resorts but the smell & smoke of Non-veg dishes is just not possible to digest/tolerate for veg people. Overall, the experience is good. I have already recommended to quite a few of my friends.
About Gokarna: You may not get a warm welcome if you don't know Kannada. At the same time you will treated good even if you try to speak some broken Kannada. If you are dreaming to try sea food from the road side shops since its a coastal area, sorry guys this is not a place for you. It's surrounded by temples and its a holy place. If you are planning to stay in Namaste Cafe, then you don't pay more than 150 for your transit to the city in any auto. The easy and best way is to hire a bike (ACTIVA) in the local mechanic shop for some Rs:300/day. About Namaste Cafe: Receptionist is not too good to receive you with big smile or so, since its not a resort / 5 star hotel. You can ask them to show you the Cottage / Building / Air conditioned Building. It purely depends on your preference what you want since almost all the rooms are of same size. Pros: 1. Sea facing almost you will feel as if you own the beach. 2. Secured, beaches are safe to roam around. 3. Smoke + Drink, you can drink plenty of Lager beer if you love it. 4. Food, I love the food of Namaste Cafe with a decent price tag (worth the money). Try King fish from Namaste Cafe for your dinner. 5. You may enjoy if your are a pet lover. There are some dogs/puppies which accompanies you in your beach walk and stays with you in restaurant as well. Cons: 1. No mobile signal near beach. You may not be able to use internet near the beach due to weak signal but, you can make a phone call in the beaches. 2. Again you may not get mobile signal in the rooms that you stay. 3. No Television, you may just want to relax on the sea shore if you really want to watch news, stocks, addicted to get sleep while watching TV, then you need to consider this. 4. Rooms should be kept clean on your own since the room service will clean it only when some one vacates. 5. Rooms are smaller in size and comfortable for a couple.
The most famous place to stay on the OM beach surely lived up to its name. You couldnt ask for a better location. The cafe on the sea shore is one of the best out there and even the people from other neary hotels walk in here for tea and food. The sound of sizzlers keep wooshing pass you ever so often that you end up trying one. You surely wont regret it.
I went there in February for 2 days. It was an adventurous trip. We took there a boat also but it was too expensive we took tracking. I went there with my husband. Booking was done directly. It was better to do booking on call if it was peak season or if it was an off season then you go directly there and booked it. It is better to do phone booking because lot of foreigners comes there to stay. There was no problem in booking and all. Hotel is located on the beach so it was very nice. Appearance wise, it was very clean but you did not get 5-star facilities there. But you can get nice food and good alcohol there. Staff of the hotel was very friendly. Room with small bathroom and it was like a cottage. Basic amenities were there. Food was also good and they also have sea food and all. I took non-veg food there. No activity was there but they have a place near beach for bonfire and all and if you want that you can arrange for it yourself. If you were in group so you will go there and arrange for bonfire and had food there. Overall, my experience in this Om Beach was very good. It is recommendable one. There were plenty of buses and it was an overnight journey and very peaceful. Roads and all were very good. Gokarna as a place is very good. Hotel's location was excellent. Appearance wise, it was also excellent. Booking and front office services were good. Services of the hotel were excellent. Rooms were good. Food and drink were very good. No activity was there and it was good.
