Namgyal Palace Hotel, Ladakh (Leh)
Old Fort Road Leh, Ladakh
Ranked 60 of 397 hotels in Ladakh (Leh)
I stayed in Hotel Namgyal Palace (Leh) for one night on 28 June 2015. The hotel looks new and modern. The room was good with LCD TV and DTH service. They served food in their dining hall. Many Indian and foreign tourists stayed in this hotel. The food was very spicy. In Ladakh, usually less spicy food is served due to oxygen scarcity and acclimatization issues. This was my fourth visit to Ladakh. I have never tasted such spicy food. I did not enjoy the food in this hotel. The food was expensive as well and I could not eat much of it. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, except the food.
First when i saw this hotel i was so amazed because we were told that we will get a 2* hotel. When you see this hotel you will get the feel of a 3* hotel and the food is just awesome as their hospitality towards their guests. The mall road distance from the hotel is walk able and and you wont find hard to get things from hotel. for me this hotel made my Leh trip Memorable.

We stayed at Namgyal palace, we landed at this hotel as our agent booked here though knowing very well that my son was wheel chair bound and the hotel was not accessible. The staff welcomed us and made our stay comfortable though it was a evolution every time we exited and entered the hotel, the hotel has a good view of the mountains around. More than that, the people who own are very pleasing and helpful to you and suggesting the right tips to go about in Leh. With a intention to make your stay memorable. Ideally located to the main market and also on the periphery of the main street within walk able distance

Cute hotel with briiiiliant service. I've travelled a lot n stayed at countless number of hotels but the service here was excellent to another level. Vivek Tiwari at d front desk was like a magician who seemed to be in control n in charge of each n every thing at d hotel... n he's brilliant at it. Location wise... its bang in d center of d city... 5 min walk from d main market which is good coz it's quiet yet central. Had a wonderful experience. . Thanks Tiwari.
I visited there with my family in the month of June and it was a relaxing trip. Hotel was good. Inner and outer look of the hotel was nice. Staff behavior was helpful and friendly. No delays in check in and check out. Rooms were neat and clean. Hot water facility was not provided on time in the room. Food was okay. Indoor and outdoor activities were not there.
We were there in a group even before the tourist season started. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Rooms are pretty cosy with a breathtaking view of snow clad mountains on all sides.
We visited in June 2010 and it was a great experience. Front desk was good and friendly and ambience too was good. Food was good and the team served generously with a smile. Hotel organized package tour to various places and the Car and Driver was nice too. Dirver was exceptionally good and doubled as guide and explained in detail about the culture and history. Overall, it was a memorable experience for us
It was very good hotel. It was conveniently located and no difficulty to reach the hotel. Pick and drop service was provided by hotel. Staff behaviour was very good and appearance was good. Room was good and there was good view from the room. Food quality was good but many variety was not there. No delay during check-in and check-out. Swimming pool, gym and other activity was not there. Sightseeing was also arranged by the hotel. It was relaxation trip with family and friends. It was value for money. I would like to recommend this hotel to others.
Its was good except some power ooutage.
Heavenly place Ladakh with scenic mountains everywhere. Rightly called as heaven on earth. Ladakh has so much to offer ,Curvy roads, clear blue skies, army trucks etc people are very friendly in this hotel, food is good, room service is also good. No activities though and moreover we didn't have enough time to spend in hotel. To all travelers please carry medicine Diamox along with you,you may suffer from high altitude sickness. Although this hotel has good tie up with the local doctor so doctor is available on call. Over all its a good hotel to stay at.
