We visited Nammane homestay with 5 families to spend the weekend and also to ring the New Year. This homestay is one of the best getaways that we have had so far. The home stay is in the midst of a 75 acre coffee estate and situated about 330 kms from Bangalore. There is an old heritage house and lots of greenery around. The home away from home experience, the well maintained gardens, the scenic beauty, the Malnad hospitality provided us a unique experience. The homestay has all the amenities required for a peaceful, joyous trip.. There is a clear flowing stream inside the estate. The warm welcome was with butter milk and the hosts greeting us. They serve tasty Malnad style food (Veg & Non Veg) and coffee taste has to be experienced. We all stayed in Swiss Tents, which are well maintained and has an attached bathroom. We went for a trucking, where the power of pure oxygen could be experienced. There is a nearby Sunset point which is a good view point also. Horanadu temple is close by and can be visited easily. We had a good new year eve party along with Gowdru family members and DJ. One can purchase homemade Ghee/Coffee powder at the property. Kudos to the entire Gowdru family……. Once again thanking the hosts MR Sampath & Mrs Sapna………Not to forget manager Mahendra…..All the very best for the future endeavor. Looking forward to meeting you all again…… I would highly recommend Nammane for a relaxing holiday. Best Experience: Playing in the mud Volleyball/Throwball (eventually becoming a mud therapy) and then taking a dip in the stream. Best Regards – Parswanath, Bangalore
I had visited this hotel with my family. Parking facility was available at the hotel. Wi-Fi facility was not available in the room. There was no delay in check in and checkout. Room was spacious with clean. I didn’t taste food from the hotel. The activity was not arranged by the hotel. The hotel building was old. I would recommend this hotel for other travellers.
Good Traditional Malnad style food (Veg & Non Veg), Traditional rooms with red oxide Flooring and Wooden sealing, totally traditional touch, we had wonderful experience. Very highly recommended this property. Free space to roam around on your own. The Best part i liked was clear flowing stream inside the property.
From the time we stepped in to this place and the time we left was one of the best spent time for me and my friends. the homestay had all the amenities required for a peaceful trip. Well maintained rooms, amazing malnad food and very helpful staff all thanks to Mahendra and Sampath. i would recommend people to explore the waterfalls and the scenic hill station. we were also lucky to have Rafting which added to our adventure, also try mud volleyball. If you want to play music loudly this is not the place for you. the staff encourage you to enjoy the nature rather than putting on a regular music. The Swiss tents are nicely maintained. I would definitely re visit this place and would highly recommend this place and bring your own drink :) Naveen H email@example.com
I just came back from a relaxed 2 days at Nammane . I couldn't helpful myself from writing a review . everything was a pleasant surprise from the location to room to very helpful staff and not to mention the man behind it all Sampath. it's amazing place literally in the clouds. how many properties have their own larger water steam with a check dam which doubles as a small waterfall. it's location location location. the home stay is nestled in the midst of a 75 acre coffee estate with greenery all around. the old heritage house is just great the food is awesome . most importantly it's clean and very responsive and proactive staff. kudos to the staff especially to the owner Sampath and his manager Mahendra. I have already made plans to visit at the earliest with my family. I would highly recommend Nammane for a relaxing holiday.
Been there with friends for a weekend stay and the whole agenda was to loiter around and spend time doing nothing, yes nothing. We were skeptical on how would it be as we had reached after a long drive of 350kms from Bengaluru but what lay for us was quite surprising much to our joy. A big, neat old-fashioned typical 'halli mane' with a spacious courtyard and decent rooms (marked out for visitors) and plenty of open space outside and with a small water pool close by and with tented accommodations located a bit away from the main house and delicious food served tickling our taste buds no end made it an wonderful stay at the place. The fact that we were told "consider this as your home and you are free to move around the house anywhere" in short justified their choice of name and invoked a sense of happiness and joy for us. Food was delicious malnad style cuisine that we loved very much and the coffee powder we got back from there was great as well. Coffee was served 'n' number of times without any discomfort and sipping coffee watching the rains was bliss. We didn't indulge in much activities as we just wanted to relax but there were options of playing volleyball in the slush, play around in the small pool, play cricket, go on a hike etc... Horanadu temple is close by and can be visited easily. Advice to people: The place is in the countryside and so is calm and peaceful, do not insist on playing loud music or partying all through the night - it just disturbs the peace and sanctity of the place. Go there, be a part of 'Nammane' and enjoy your stay. Suited for all types/kinds of travelers :)
A very good place to stay , food was great, location is great by the stream and lots of greenary around. Near by short 5km drive to the hill top which is usually covered in mist - take a 4*4 if you want to explore around especially in rainy season. Note : Apart from BSNL mobile network , Airtel and Vodafone dont work:) Rooms are very well maintained and so are the toilets. If you want to have a fullfilling bath suggest you use the main bath of the house -natural wood heated boiler . Note: You would need to carry your own drink . Note: There are no TV\'s in individual room but then again its quite relaxing walking around in the estates.
