An amazing experience for history lovers

The museum consists of really cool artifacts till medieval history. This is a place highly recommended to whoever is in love with archeology and history. There are benches to sit and the designing of the museum is really good. Also it's better if you take the free guided tour that is Tuesday to Friday at 2:30pm and 10:30 I guess. Last thing, there are a lot of artifacts and paintings so it will take a good amount of time of you want to study each and everything out there.

Know India Better

The way this museum takes u through the rise of civilisation in India is awesome. Starting from the Harappa Civilisation it takes us through the rise of India till the present time. Collection is precious, we get to learn a lot. We get to experience the lives of our ancestors. It will be even good if u take a guide with u. Cameras are allowed and there is a cloak room outside to keep ur bags.

One palace in India to know our history, arts and culture

national museum tells you alot about Indian culture, tradition, art, and history of India. this palace are divided into three floor and many sanctions. each sanctions gives you the full knowledge of Indian history. Audio guides, even human guides to tell you about art and history. Best museum in Delhi according to me. Lots of miniature paintings and beautiful sculptures.

A good Museum celebrating India

This museum is a must visit for the entire family as it traces the rich historical journey of the Indian subcontinent. It houses some very intriguing artifacts, paintings, sculptures, statues and many other fascinating items from different periods in history- ancient, medieval and contemporary. The tour starts on the ground floor with a section that covers Indus Valley civilization in its entirety. It is undoubtedly the best part of the museum and most of the elementary works of ancient art kept in this section are over 4500 years old including the very famous statue of the Dancing Girl of Mohenjodaro. Even if you spend one full day here, a couple of floors would still go unseen. Just observe carefully, do time travel, lose yourself in the chambers of ancient history and enjoy the marvellous past of our ancestors. Don't try to 'cover' the museum in one day.
