"Native place used to be..."

Native place used to be an enjoyable place, but service and attitude has degraded over last 2-3 years. In my second visit I found that It has become too commercial with less attention towards guests. The place has lost its previous warmth and dont deserve to be so expensive.

"Myself, wife and my daughter..."

  • Posted Sep 11, 2010
Myself, wife and my daughter visited this resort, in monsoon and stayed for 2 days in Nirvana cottage. There were no adventure activities going on during this period. To stay in this place you really need to have the art of doing nothing, else you will get bored here. There are no newspapers, no television, no telephones. The road to the resort from Kamshet city is really in bad condition and it takes about 40min from Kamshet. The one good thing that happened was the bonding between myself and my daughter became much much more stronger after 2 days of stay.

Best Experience: Ambience is excellent, good food, good place to spend quality time with each other. It might be good for adventure activities which we missed it due to monsoon season.

Worst Experience: The cost of Rs. 3800 per night seems to be bit on higher side for absolutely no facilities. Service on the 2nd day of our stay which was Monday really deteriorated, we were the only guest left. There is no intercom in rooms so you need to go all the way to kitchen to get any service.

"We had been there for..."

We had been there for a day picnic. A friend had booked it to celebrate her son\'s 10th birthday. The place is good. Ideal location to unwind. However, their website looks better than what it actually is.

Best Experience: Food was excellent. Good home-cooked food of great taste. We freaked out on the lunch we had.

Worst Experience: The approach road is horrible. There is no proper road for the last 5 km stretch to reach there.

"The over all experience was..."

  • Posted Jun 7, 2010
The over all experience was good .This is not a typical resort with a check in counter etc .The whole formality was done in a very informal way . We wanted to shift to Nirvana cottgaes which we were able to do .The Nirvana cottage are definately better & bigger then the normal rooms though bit costly . Teh food was very homely type & some veg curry served was quite good taste wise .

Best Experience: The experience was quite good in a non polluted environment where one can forget all tensions & just relax . We went in end May but still the weather was okay to roam about in near by areas .Certainly this place will be better off in monsoons . The serving boys didnot let us down as ther were always available .They were obedient .One the second day they were planning to serve the same breakfast menu but they changed the dish since I told them not to repeat

Worst Experience: Since there was no telephone in the rooms we need to go to kitchen to ask for tea etc . The morning tea could have been served earlier as tea addicts like me had to wait for some time before the tea is served in the morning . The retreat should make serious effort towards maintenance .The whole retreat\'s walls needs a fresh coat of paint . Some artefacts / lamps if there were broken they were never replaced or repaired .

"We went for a short..."

We went for a short stay at Native Place. The place is BEAUTIFUL.

Best Experience: The staff are very friendly and attentive. The place has many sit outs and comfortable seating arrangements made all over. It\'s a delight to just BE THERE and not DO something all the time.
