I visited this place in October. it's an ideal place when you want to see a different side of goa. goa is much more than only beaches, bikinis & beer you see! the place is best for birding. the staff is very friendly and equipped with a lot of knowledge! they take you around and make you understand about birding and in general sight seeing. the food is just too yummy! I am a vegetarian still I enjoyed a lot! I bet non vegetarians will go mad over the sea food! the owner of nature's nest is Pankaj and he is one of the most honest entrepreneur I have come across! he is humble and extremely helpful!its his dream baby and he makes sure you get the best out of it! rooms are like small huts and without TV or any other modern electronic equipment that might take you away from nature! service is just amazing! its a place for travelers! a must visit! an unforgettable experience!
A group of friends and i stayed at Nature's Nest in Surla in the month of June for a night. We were a group of 20 and we occupied all the 10 cottages available there. For city dwellers like us, it was absolutely amazing to be in the lap of nature. The cottages are well spaced out and modestly furnished with only the essentials so do not expect luxurious rooms here. The cottages, their surroundings, the bed linen and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. We dealt with Mr Gaurish who was extremely courteous and went out of his way to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. The food comprising of fish curry, dal, vegetables, salad etc was simple but delicious especially in this rural setting. Nature's nest do organise some jungle treks, birding excursions and waterfall treks but we preferred to stay at the hotel and relax so i wouldn't be able to comment on that.Besides the Bondla zoo is also nearby so guests could spend a couple of hours there. However travellers should note that there is NO CELLPHONE RECEPTION at Nature's Nest. This could be a blessing or a curse depending on your point of view! We all used the landline in the reception area but it was erratic as well. All in all Nature's Nest is a great location to spend a night in the forest away from civilization just expect the bare essentials at a bare bones price.
We got a chance for our long overdue vacation to goa in the new year of 2015 with my family & was really wonderful. We got a chance to stay at Nature's Nest Hotel, Margao, which was a great resort away from the hustle and bustle of city life & located in plantations and greenery. It had cottages separated from each other. The rooms were spacious & well-kept with all modern amenities. The service of the staff was wonderful they were polite & prompt.
I was visiting Goa with my family and family friends. We visited beach the first day but they got tired of the noise and crowd. We landed up at Nature's Nest which is located on the way to Tambdisurla Temple outside Bhagwan Mahaweer Wildlife reserve. It is located in Eastern part of goa where there are green forest and not beaches. the resort is located in a "Typical Goan Wadi" with lot of Mango, Cashew, Jackfruit and coconut plantation. The eco huts are situated amidst trees. The owners also have planted beautiful flowering trees which enhances the feel. There is common dining area. This resort also provide nature trail in the forest and adventure activities like rappelling and river/valley crossing. Food at this resort is just excellent. being a Eco-Resort everything is fresh and nothing goes waste. future visitors should remember that we are in the lap of nature and hence can not exclude everything outside. You might encounter few insects or frogs but nothing to be scared of.
Great experience, the resort is located away from the hustles and bustles of hectic life in middle of greenery and coconut / banana plantations. The cottages are well spaced out and clean and staying there gives you a typical jungle feel. Ideally suited for nature lovers, herpetologists, birdwatchers and photographers alike as you have got a lof of life to explore in the surroundings and the resort is on the border of Bhagwan Mahaveer sanctuary limits. Also suited for families who want to visit any good place other than the beaches in Goa.
