Located
at a distance of 1.5 kms from BabaBaidyanathTemple,
the Naulakha Mandir is built to resemble the RamakrishnaTemple
in Belur. The Mandir's presiding deities areRadha - Krishna.
The Mandir gets its unusual name 'Naulakha' from
the matching amount that was spent to construct it - about Rupees Nine lakhs (9
lakhs). This amount was donated entirely by Rani Charushila of Pathuria Ghat
King's family from Kolkata.
Bereaved by the untimely deaths of her husband
and son, she left her home and met the saint Balananda Brahmachari who asked
her to construct this temple.
