The resort is nice and the room is comfortable. Appropriate room service is not available. Guests have to go to the dining hall in the cold chilly rainy night for dinner. Rest the view was pretty good from the resort.

I had been there with my family in the month of December. The location and ambiance was very nice although it was very cold at that time. We have enjoyed a lot. 360 degree view we have experienced there. Their food was also very delicious. They have well behaved staff and well managed hotel.

Atrocious road conditions with bad communication means will make your hips rattle till you reach the spot. On reaching we found the place is home to a pet cat who often visits the jungle and the kitchen too.

To top it all the Manager claims this is very obvious as it is a pet and can visit the kitchen. So there is no guarantee that the same pet feeds on your food as well. Very nice scenic beauty but you will be bored to death if you are not a hiker. Very ill mannered staff and hygiene conditions make this place not a good spot for conscious beings. Stayed April 2014, travelled as a couple

I stayed there for one day. I booked one room only. A nice view was visible from hotel rooms. The best part is a beautiful view of Kanchenjunga from hotel room. Hotel is well decorated. Food was good. Services were perfect. There is electricity problem, but they have alternative solution for that. Rooms were well-furnished. TV and geyser were available. Campfire was available but I did not use. Hotel location is very nice. Appearance is best. Rishyap is a very good place.

Resort was very nice. Location was awesome. Resort was located just at the beach. Kanchenjunga view was available from the room. Rooms were neat and clean and spacious. TV, geyser and other basic amenities were available in the room but fridge was not there. Services were fast and on time. Food was fabulous. Both varieties were available in veg and non-veg. Inner and outer look of the hotel was fantastic. Reception was cooperative and friendly. Garden was available in activities and it was well maintained. Rishyap place is excellent for visit. I traveled with my family in November month. I can recommend this hotel for others.

I visited Rishyap, West Bengal during March and I was so happy to stay in Hotel Sonar Tori that I decided to let people know about this small but beautiful property in the lap of Himalayas. This hotel is actually an extension of Neora Valley Resort and is situated one case lower than the parent hotel offering 360 degree open view from all the 9 rooms it has. The upper floor rooms are costliest because it is at same level with the road and it offers more beautiful view of the valley.

The room tariff is however very reasonable. Rooms were comfortable with clean bed linens and blankets and other amenities like LCD TV, geyser was also available. The hot water however was supplied for only two hours in morning. The hotel is having own generator and it is operational up to 10 pm. They don't allow candles in rooms, so it is advisable to carry a torch. However, power cut is not an issue in this part.

The best part of the hotel is definitely the balcony and the places around the hotel which offered breathtaking views of the valley, blue mountains, mighty Kanchenjunga, trees with colorful leaves, chirping birds of himalayas and the colorful flowers. If you are a shutter bug, it's just a heaven for you. The hotel has got a restaurant which offers homemade bengali khana and I loved the food very much. It was cheap and stomach friendly. Only thing I did not like about this hotel is that a dog of this hotel was barking continuously in night and my parents could not sleep well. Other than these few hiccups, this is a good budget property and I will love to stay in this hotel in my next visit to Rishyap, the hidden queen of Himalayas.

We went Rishyap and stayed at Neora Valley. Location and appearance were fine. Stay at the hotel was very good. I went there with my family and stayed there for two days in this hotel. I booked only one room there. Hotel has cottage type rooms. Rooms were nice. All basic amenities as hot water, geyser, etc were available. Natural beauty is excellent, but it takes lots of effort because of bad road condition. I took my food at the hotel. Food was superb. Both veg and non-veg dishes served at the hotel. View was not visible from hotel rooms. I made my booking already with the hotel and there was no problem with booking service to get the room. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was no outdoor activity available. I can definitely recommend this hotel for other travelers. It is value for money paid. Rishyap is a nice place as tourist destination.

Overall very nice, TV, Gizar, personal Balcony, Room Service not good, Food has to be ordered very early, but good taste.

Worst Thing:
Power Cuts, such a big resort, good tariff still a tiny generator which never starts, expect every evening to morning with no powers, so recharge your camera and phone whenever possible. They Should get a big generator at least.

Important:
View is excellent, scenic beauty is awesome / incredible. Kanchanzongha is in front of only from room 1, all other rooms are facing Nathula, Kanchanzangha is either side or not visible from balcony.

Overall very very in the Nature, silent, soothing with excellent scenic beauty. But is the same rate of hotel building is retained is going to become Kalimpong in very near future.
