A short walk
up the hill from the Kurseong Railway station gets you to the Eagle's Crag
viewpoint.
Once you have
trudged up here and caught your breath, you could explore the interesting
Netaji Kothi, an Observatory that gives you a breathtaking view of the rolling
hills and green valleys around you.
Once a summer
home of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, it is today an almost ruined building.
Plans are underway to convert the interesting Kothi into the Netaji Memorial
Museum. A cafeteria close
to the building is a great source of attraction to youngsters, the tired and
the hungry traveler.

 toy train | | does the steam engine toy train run from kurseong to darjeeling. if yes how much time does the journey take and what's the cost. is it possible to book a ticket for the toy train journey from delhi? if yes how does one do that?
i am planning a 10 day trip with my daughter and the itinary that i have in mind. delhi to n.jalpaiguri. take toy train to kurseong. stay for two days. take toy train to darjeeling. stay for two days. take cab to kalimong stay for two days. go to gangtok stay for three days and back to delhi.
does it sound too hectic or is it doable. if i've to drop one location out of all these which one should it be? | |
