Nijomaghat

Nijomaghat was built by the British in the 19th century and is located at a distance of around 15 km from Roing. The Ghat that once served as the major mode for the British to enter the hills was named after Mr. J. F. Needham, who was a British Political Officer.    

Surrounded by lush green vegetation and mountains, this Ghat is among the popular picnic spots of Roing. It is believed that the river current has chiselled the rocks of the Himalayas and has made numerous figures. Tourists can also enjoy the small ferry ride connecting Dambuk with Roing.
