Club Mahindra Varca Beach Resort Reviews

No one smiles. They are all programmed to put up a tough face to frighten the guests The senior staff look at all the guests as if each if them is a potential trouble maker . One feels unwelcome. The first impression is the best impression , they say, and here the 1st impression shows you whats in store. I drove 1025 Kms from Madras , and I definitely expect that the people in the front office to show some empathy to me . Nope thats not how things work here. Here guests are not humans just room numbers. The front office manger, can be called the back office manger of the front office, as he is more keen in sitting inside his cabin than be outside and meet and greet guests. Very poor attitude, I felt that he considers he is doing a job that is too menial for him. I seriously think the Company needs to send some of the staff for some serious public relations training , and also teach them all to smile.

Best Experience: Since the over all experience was so poor, one or two things one staff member did was definitely like an Oasis in this dessert of emotionless persons. Eg. The staff who served Breakfast were smiling a bit. Laura in the front office helped a lot .

Worst Experience: There is no example as the whole experience itself is an example of whats a worst experience. The view from my room was the Buffet laid out in the Restaurant, what a sight ,it was. Room service waiters are dripping with sweat, one is not sure if some of that has actually dripped on to the food. They send one measly table spoon for an order of fish curry and rice. Value for money for the food is very poor, the prices of the food are more expensive than 7 Star deluxe hotels and the food as good as the wort Dhaba on the Delhi Ambala route. I can go on and on, but I guess people get an idea of what to expect. Then this is not the case in any other CM property, I have always had good experieces. In fact from Goa , I went to CM Coorg, and it was like heaven.

The overall experience was good... the service at all the counters are good except the reception... they suck real bad...

Best Experience: The food and the room and the resort is awesome... too good

Worst Experience: They could not extend my check out for couple of hours even after tell them that my wife was pregnant.. will never forgive them for this..

Go Goa its one of the best destinations in India with direct flight connectivity. Club mahindra as always is a beautiful property, nice rooms, good service, wonderful food and a beautiful property along with a nice beach, and all this five star faciliities at a three star rates. the only hitch is the taxi unions, i mean they ensure that u enjoy the club mahindra resort to the fullest and dont go any where out in goa.

Best Experience: the best expirence was food, food was excellent on all the days, apart from food the activities going on at club mahindra, the pool and the beach. varca is a unexplored beach and a beautiful beach for one to be

Worst Experience: the worst expirence as stated was the taxi unions out side club mahindra, they ensure that one enjoys only clubmahindra and go nowhere else in goa. they charge a ransom and are very rude. i was told rate of 2500 for six hours and sixty kms only for north goa, which practically cant be finished in either 60 kms or in six hours that means i have to pay them more for hours and kms. apart from that they were very rude. and even the resort said they are helpless. we literally felt captivated at the resort as we wanted to rome the entiire goa

I had booked my vacation of 3N/4D with Club Mahindra from Mumbai.I reached Goa on 24/1/09.My jetlite flight was delayed by 1 hour and we reached Goa by 2:30pm,Club Mahindra Representative Mr.Victor greeted us with smile and we were given AC Esteem Car to be driven at the resort.It was around 35 Km.I was accompanied by my wife and 1.5 year old daughter.The security check was done and i had to show my Confirmation Voucher and then the staff greeted me to the Resort,Wow! was the first reaction .We were made comfortable at the Lobby while i Completed some forms.We were offerd welcome drink.The staff was cheerful and within minutes they made my wife and baby comfortable.I was upgraded to studio apartment,i was thrilled.They took us to our apartment in Non Emission vehicle.The room was much more brilliant than what we had expected with Tv,Fridge,Microwave,Accesories,safe etc.Unfortunately Buffet timing was over and we had to order food from the room service,it was expensive Rs.340 + Taxes for one plate Chicken Biryani cannot be called Value for Money.After some rest we rushed towards the beach.It was just outside the resort.It was clean and empty.Club mahindra has 3 pools and we had our Breakfast/Lunch Dinner at Resatuarnt Tamara.It was devine experience.The service was superb particularly i would like to name Flossy,Joseph,Socrates who were excellent in hospitality.My baby was offered special chair for cheerful eating,The food was elaborate comprising of Varies of Salads,Papads,3-4 different veg items.Nonveg items,Biryani,steam Rice,deserts comprising of alteast 5 items and fresh fruits and Juices.The house keeping was fine.Crowd comprised of both Indians + foreigners.

Best Experience: Best experience was the Fun area for children.My 1.5 year daughter was having a ball of the time in this area.She used to run around.play with soft balls,Table tennis rackets,Carrom etc.It was rocking.The next best area are clean Lawns and Gardens with fountains.for all of us the best part was the Blue Swimming Pool.it was great.

Worst Experience: sightseeing was very costly.The taxi men have union outside the gate of resort.No car operator in goa will come to pick you up from resort they will tell you to come at Varca Church which is 3 km away from resort.They charged 1700/- for 6 hour local sightseeing of south goa-Shanta durga,Mangeshi,Basilica,Panaji & Dona paula.

My experience at club mahindra was simply wonderful...right from the time i entered the impressive lobby, i knew i was in for a good time...the impreesive lobby and main building, the 2 swimming pools, the healthclub, spa and ayurvedic centre, the funzone for various activities , the restaurants (3 in all including a sea-side shack), the rooms , the service everything about the resort is lovely.....i had a really good time over there

Best Experience: -Excellent heath-club and good facilities... -lovely ayurvedic centre and spa..had a good time at the sauna... -both the swimming pools were excellent.... -good food at all the restaurants ,lots of activities for children and adult alike -very courteous staff and v.efficient and prompt service. -the verca beach...ooooh.....fantastic golden white sand, excellent sunrise and sunset .......and lovely waves...mesmerising... Really.....

Worst Experience: No bad experiences really..however i was a little bit disappointed with the room...the space of the 1 bedroom apartment i was staying in was pretty decent however the bathroom was absolutely functional...a big let-down really considering the standards of the hotel...no bath-tub...nor an adequate space for bathing.....it was uncomfortable and disappointinf but thatwas the only bad experience we had ...everything else was perfect....
