"Not so good. Paying 2000..."

Not so good. Paying 2000 bucks for such a room is not worth that much.

Best Experience: Location was fine, as also the food.

Worst Experience: The Front office/reception was not good. Service is good but takes a lot of time which is not tolerable. The rooms can be improved.

"Wallwood Garden is a Neemrana..."

  • Posted Mar 13, 2005
Wallwood Garden is a Neemrana run resort. An old guest house converted with exclusive & unique bedrooms. Each room is creatively named after nilgiri trees & plants. The best part about Wallwood is the view from the dining area. A thoughtfully sone couch setaing area by the dining nehances the experience. Service is very personal and the staff is exteremely kind & courteous. The Chef is retained from the guest house management and dishes out sumptuos food tingling your tastebuds. Coonoor, being a very low profile city doesn’t offer any major entertainment options except for the weekend movie you can catch up at the Army base theatre(generally plays a two-month old hindi flick). Wallwood is a perfect getaway if you want to be on your own and don’t want to have a boring "hotel" experience. You leave with a feeling of having taken a break in your own resort. Wish the Tamilnadu Government makes better transportation services and roads, the strain of which sometimes could take away your holiday pleasure. The toy train is veru unreliable as the service is very dependant on the weather & landslides. This makes travelling in rainy season a bit cumbersome. Though Coonoor is afar cry from other pretty hillstations, its proximity to Ooty compensates the dryness. A quick cab drive lands you in Ooty and is a good destination for entertainment, shopping, the botanical garden & horse rides. Neemrana lives upto their expectation and kudos to the management for identifying exclusive properties like Wallwood Garden to give the discerning traveller a good holiday experience.
