It is a quiet gateway - a perfect place for those who want to be one with nature. The resort is perfectly blended with the surroundings. There is minimal to no connectivity which is really the best thing one could ask for. No televisions to distract one from the peace that surrounds the place.

The staff is courteous and always ready to help and accommodate your requests. This is not a place for those who seek luxury. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Hot water is available during certain hours of the day given that water is heated using olden day methods.

Food is awesome - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner food is well done. The spread maybe limited, but tasty and wholesome. There is enough variety for children to choose from and healthy as well. Snacks and soups are healthy and in plenty. Overall this is a good place, if one wants to blend in with nature.

The resort is one of a kind. But that comes with a price. They conduct a bunch of activities For example, the boat ride, trekking, and the bird watching. The lunch and dinner buffet are good. The rooms are typical forest type. I personally didn't like the layout of the rooms. And if you are 4 in a group. Then, you need to adjust a lot. As the rooms are very small. Overall a good experience. Planning to visit again.

The behaviour of the staff was very good. I had no delay check-in and check-out. It was located near bus stand or near to road. Inside and outside of the hotel was good. The room was very neat and clean with view of forest and watching the birds from my room. All amenities like AC, TV and geyser were working properly. The quality of food was very good. All types of foods were provided by them. They arranged forest trip for us. They provide you to all facility. The appearances of hotel were good. They should provide transport facility. Sometimes they never provided transport facility. The hotel was reasonable and I will do recommended others to stay.

We were the only guests in the property. We booked 2 rooms and I assume that they would be the best rooms allowed to us (I haven't seen the other rooms). There is good amount of maintenance required to be done and since we were there at the beginning of the season, they told me that there was lack of interest in the management to maintain the property. Our room didn't have a mirror above the washbasin in the bathroom and the shower head was missing and was replaced by a dummy which was leaking throughout our stay. The commode seat cover was missing a nut that holds the seat in place and was shaky even after it was reported. The best part of the stay was the food which was quite good and we could pretty much get whatever we wanted in the local fanfare. The trek to the top of the mountain where you can have great views of the kali river was amazing. The trek itself is a good exercise and is not for those people who are not fit enough. You need a lot of patience to sit in one place quietly to do bird watching and photography. Carry a big zoom lens at least 400mm. The bigger the lens the better to get a close-up shot of the bird.

The location of the hotel was not convenient and it was far from the hotel. The service at the hotel was very good. The room I got was spacious and well-maintained also. There was forest view can see from the room. The food was also good and has nice quality vegetarian items. There were no delay happened in check-in and check-out process. They provided sightseeing facility and we enjoyed it well. I think the hotel valued my money and would like to recommend to other travellers.

It is a good resort with nice meal and lot of birds which we can see and take the photographs. It is situated in a very calm and cool place with good arrangement for bird watching. Also good arrangement for photography, feel like we are staying in deep forest. At every movement you can hear a different bird's sounds. I would like to visit once again for relaxation.

Resort is nice. I stayed there for three days. Food was okay. I went there in January. Staff was helpful and friendly. Services were excellent. Hotel has cottage type rooms. I booked my room there already. It is a nice photographic area and you can get many exciting places to photograph. It is a recommendable resort for all other visitors. Rooms were good. Rooms were neat and clean. TV was there. It is located in jungle. The location of hotel is fine. Appearance is well-maintained. Pick up and drop facility was available but I did not use. I booked my room in advance. Hotel is definitely recommendable for all other travelers. Bonfire was organized.

Nice place to stay, Clean and good accommodation /cottage. Good and very cooperative staff. Tasty and hygienic food. Hot water for bath. Awesome place and enjoy the beautiful nature. Great opportunity to photograph the variety of birds of western ghats.
Only thing, we should take care from mosquitos, when we will be out of cottages, I.e in evening time. Totally my stay was in Old Magazine House, jungle lodge resort on 14th march is pleasant.

I along with a group visited the OMH camp for bird watching and that was our sole purpose of exploring bird life in the W.Ghats.

Some of us chose to stay in the dormitory and some in the cottages and overall the comfort level was good as it has always been. Power outage is an issue and you cant complain much about it being in a remote place. Staff are helpful and always on call and are very courteous.

Visit this place if you want a break from the hectic life spending quality time doing nothing amidst the frenzy calling/singing of birds and chatting over the campfire and slurping the hot delicious food. Don't visit if you are looking for a high end luxury resort equipped with all modern facilities.

Remember, this is an offbeat location and not a luxurious resort and you won't have many facilities that other resorts offer. Activities are limited and the schedules can go haywire if rains interrupt. If you are interested in bird watching or wildlife photography, this is the place to be. Sit, relax and enjoy the show unfurl.
