Coorg food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Coorgi Food is enjoyed best at Home stay. Coffee is their main Beverage.
Nisargdham is a small island having a deer park, Elephant ride, many Tree top Sit-outs, and also offers overnight stay facilities.
Bylakuppe has the largest Tibetan seettlement in India. It has a beautiful Buddhists Monastery and has many shops selling products relating to buddhism.
Talacauvery is the birth place of River Cauvery and is around 50 kms from Madikeri Capital of Coorg. Good Scenic Views can be seen from the top.
Raja's Seat is best visited during sunset.
Abbey Falls is 5 kms from the town. The place was littered badly when we visited.
A must visit place is the Dubare Elephant camp where you can bath, scrub, feed and ride the Elephant.

This 10 year old resort is set amidst 300 acres of coffee and spice gardens of Coorg, 800 meters above sea level. The 5-star property features a combination of cottages and villas as accommodation options. In addition to the guided tour of the plantation, river Cauvery which borders the resort plays host to boating, coracle rides & cruises. Fishing either at the estate lake or in the river and trekking are other options for activities. There is also an Ayurvedic Centre which offers massages and rejuvenation therapies.

4 types of cottages are offered: County Cottage - (Twin Occupancy deluxe cottage); Presidential Villa - (Twin Occupancy Suite – features a private sit out); King's Court - (Four Occupancy Deluxe Suite - one living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms with a sit-out); Private Pool Villa - (Twin Occupancy Suite with Private Plunge Pool). Amenities include health club and spa, 24 hour coffee shop, In house restaurant, Liquor license -mini bar, cable /satellite television, travel desk, swimming pool, laundry, doctor on call, & room service. All major credit cards accepted.
