If you are visiting Osiyan expecting it will be like Jaisalmer's Thar desert, you'll be disappointed. My review is about the camp. It's such a wonderful camps to stay if you are visiting Osiyan, in fact the best one. The tents are very neat and clean with all required facilities and the staff are really nice and helpful. They arrange camel safaris and evening entertainment programs like folk music and dance etc under open sky which is really worth enjoying. The food n snacks they provided were really great and served in a very presentable manner. Non veg is also available and beer etc too. Do bargain a little bit as online pricing is very high. The camel safaris costs Rs.800-1000/per camel which can accommodate 2 persons. Camel safaris including dinner and entertainment evening costs Rs.2000 for a couple. One night stay with camel safari entertainment program lunch breakfast n dinner costs about Rs.6000-7000. It's about 60km and 90 minutes drive from Jodhpur and one can visit Mandore gardens on the way. It's best to reach the place around 4pm enjoy the sunset and camel safari.

IT WAS GREAT EXPERIENCE ON THE SAND DUNES TRAVELLING IN THE JEEP AND GOOD TO BE FOR THE VACATION TRAVELLING IN THE CAMEL WITH THE PEACOCK AND OTHER JUNGLE ANIMALS HAVING THE BUFFET AT NIGHT DINNER DANCING IN THE SAND HAVING DRINK AT NIGHT IN THE TENT
My husband and I travelled to Rajasthan in March 2012 and were very eager to go on a desert safari. Reggie's camp is situated in Osian which is about 65kms (2hrs drive) from Jodhpur. We were greeted by the property manager at the entrance to Osian and taken straight to our camels, whom we mounted and trotted off to the desert camp which was setup on a sand dune, exclusively for us. We spent the night sipping on our wine by a bornfire and were then treated to a fingerlicking dinner. The treatment at the camp was royal - we had around 6 attendants tending to our whims and fancies. The best part was that they provided us with hot water for bathing which was amazing as this was a temporary, mobile camp. Spending the night, out in the desert was an awesome experience. Next morning we headed to the resort - a beautiful property spread over 100 acres. The tent we stayed at was very cozy. Even though the resort is located in a desert, there is running water in the bathrooms - hot and cold. The tents have electric plug points and ofcourse, very comfortable beds. The dinning areas are lovely - there are separate ones for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is excellent and very authentic. There are options to go on camel back or in a jeep to nearby Bishnoi villages and spend time with the locals or relax by the pool and sip on drinks from a wide variety of options. The staff is friendly and very efficient. They strongly believe in 'service with a smile' We had a great holiday in a great resort.
the tent and especially the bath-room was dirty, in the toilet was - sorry to say - the shit visible of the guests before. when we claimed this and asked for cleaning, one of the staff came and the only think he did was to use the toilet flush ! when we claimed that this was not cleaning, another man (dirty himself allover) came with a black rug (so dirty !) and swept the bird-shit from the washing table. restaurant and food was about the same. We still do not know why we did not leave this awfull place instead of staying 1 night.
