Golden Pagoda Hotel Reviews

Overall experience was great. We can see mountains from Hotel itself. Hotel is in M.G Road and in that road traffic is not allowed so its good for Kids as they can play there. In that road always you can heard songs and there is Seats also avaialable. so its good to stay there.

Best Experience: Just opposite of Hotel Golden there is Masala Hotel and the food they serve is awesome.And just next to Hotel Pagoda there is one basement restaurant they also serve good food. The best time to go there is March and April when with ice u can see Flowers. Baba Mandir is worth to see. Local sight seen was also good . We went to yumthang and its also good experience. It took 7 hours drive and we stay in Lachung and early morning at 6 we went to yumthang and zero degree and returned to Gangtok at 6 in the evening. Its little tiring but good experience.

Worst Experience: yes the service is very slow and in December it was very cold.

LOcation was good the room was small but cosy with great front office staff food though vegetarian was good

Best Experience: We had paid one day advance money and we were supposed to stay for four days. Not even once they asked for further advance. For extra bedding for child they had quoted Rs. 400 extra but when I told that we will adjust in the same bed they agreed and at the time of final billing they did not charge the extra amount for the child. This was a nice gesture from their part

Worst Experience: Geyser never gave hot water and the door lock was not proper

I really like this hotel! The rooms were clean & with nice facilities. All equipments were in nice condition & it\'s on M.G.Marg. The hotel is with restaurant on top floor with nice food quality. The rates of the hotel were reasonable & the manager was soft spoken & provided nice service. One can have the view of Kanchajunga through the restaurant window in morning. If you want a straight view of this range with open terrace then I will recommend Nambling Residency nearby to M.G.Marg.

very bad food and resturant service in hotel golden pegoda, location is best but my personal advice to not take food in this hotel
