It was the good experience stay in at P C Residency vijaynagar water tank Mysore. Good rooms and front office also very good. Convenient to travel any where Mysore close by taxi/ auto stand. Only thing is WiFi range found is less & hotel food is too costly. Other then is was very good experience compared to other hotels. P C Residency gave huge discount nearly 40% discount, however we are also staying for months & months. But overall it was great experience.
It was my holiday trip to P C Residency in the month of April 2017. I visited Mysore with my family members to that hotel. My native place is Hyderabad district. I booked our stay through online by OYO rooms & visited the hotel. Mysore was an excellent place to visit for holiday trip. Hotel location was average in place to visit by the travelers it little interval in place to visit this hotel. It was very near to the bus stop & was on the main road. Hotel ambience was good in appearance it was looking very good in attractive to travelers. The reception was no good in receiving us to the hotel they didn't provide the rooms as per the OYO rooms & they provided us other rooms it was not spacious to us to stay in there. Room was not good in there it was not good in spacious to stay comfortable in that room it was congested to us in that room. But it was clean & good in maintenance. Food was average in there which we had in that hotel it was not good in taste to have there. There was no any activities were there in the hotel for us when we stayed there in that hotel in Mysore. It was average in stay in there.
I had been to Mysore on an official visit. On my friends suggestion I had booked in PCR hotel, the look, ambience and the stay was excellent. It had a double bed with Air conditioners, a good TV and had sofas for the guests with a centre table, wardrobe, and the toilet was fantastic with shower curtain for the wet area. As they had a nice restaurant downstairs called KA 09 I think, so there was less chance of ordering the food in the room. The restaurant downstairs was nice, cool and though it was a mid week there was a good crowd, mainly families. They have a bar too. The food was good including the service. As I was staying for a day didn't get much chance to go around as I had left to Mercera next day morning on my work.
I am a frequent business visitor to this hotel but with my last visit 3 experiences I will have to think twice before going to this hotel again. The services have gone down drastically. What ever you order from the menu, it is not available. If you order a fresh sugarless tea, then they will serve you a stale extra sweet tea. On the complimentary breakfast menu you will not find anything except idli, wada and poori bhaji (twice a week). Not even bread and eggs. The waiter will simply say not available. If he is a bit polite waiter then he will say bread is not a part of breakfast and is chargeable. The rooms have become old and need painting. The linen has become dirty and torn and needs immediate replacement. A year back when I started visiting this place it was a different experience. The rooms and linen were fresh, services were good, breakfast was appealing but in the last few months the hotel has lost its charm. The only good thing about the hotel is its price which is cheap. I suggest to avoid this place unless you do not have other options
There was no transportation facility provided by the hotel for pick and drop. The surrounding of the hotel was very good. The staff were very kind and good. The room was neat and clean. The bed and pillows were maintained well. The basic amenities were functioning very well. The food was very good and the price was reasonable. We didn't notice the activities or any swimming pool in the hotel. The overall stay was very much comfortable. I would like to recommend this hotel to other travellers too. The destination was very good. The location was also very good. The booking and front desk was too good. The appearance of the hotel was nice. The overall stay was comfortable.
