About Palaki Mahal (Palace)

The Palaki Mahal is situated in the front of Hardaul Bathaka and has got its name due to the palanquin roof present in its structure. This palace was built by King Vir Singh Dev during the period between 1605 and 1627. It is two-storied and has a rectangular structure consisting of three-arched door verandahs. Its famous palanquin roof was not a part of its original structure and was added to its first floor along with tiled stone pillars later in the 17th century.
