This hotel has a very bad receptionists and also a very bad receiving of the customers I hated the way answered my questions and for Wi-Fi I had to go more than thrice for id and password and also, the taps in bathrooms are very old they broke when we were inside it and also the hot took much time than any hotels and the city autowalas are very bad....Read More
Great experience with this hotel when we were there for a couple of days during our marriage honeymoon. We visited all nearby places and we went marina, asia's biggest beach. We had a chance to stay in this hotel. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very courteous and nice
The overall experience was good in the hotel. The hotel was located inside the city. The transport facility was not arranged by the hotel. I went this hotel by my own vehicle. This place is pretty old and still delivers what is expected. The south Indian food served here is very tasty and is very authentic. The people are very helpful and friendly. The place is well connected and is in the main area of the city. The staff are all courteous and very helpful. All in all a very decent middle range hotel.
I stayed at the deluxe twin AC room. The rooms are really old, nothing has been upgraded since the 80's. The sheets had stains on them. The door knobs were nasty. Restrooms got infested with cockroaches at night. Wi-Fi worked only in the hallway but not inside the rooms. Repeated complaints fell on deaf ears. The front desk staff had a don't care a....Read More

Stayed here in this facility. This facility is more than 50 years old and caters to the needs of mid income and low income traveller with various levels of room rentals available. The food is good. The biggest advantage is that this facility is near the US embassy / visa facilitation centres (a walk able distance from this facility).
Top Reviews of Palmgrove Hotel
As I heard, Palmgrove is one of the oldest Hotels in Chennai. The stay in this hotel is awesome. I stayed for 2days / 1 night. The food is great and the kind of service is good. This is a 3 star hotel experience. However, in the heart of city (near Gemini fly over), this hotel is the best for the price.
The service at this hotel is amazing! When we arrived the service at the reception was prompt and perfect! The room was a king size and the bathroom was really nice with a big glass shower. The room was ultra-clean. The hotel is quiet, really well located.. The hotel motto is to always improve their services to their customer and they do it really well. I had a laptop with me and the wireless access worked like a breeze in the room and in the living room. They also have a magnificent fireplace and nice leather seats to spend the evening. The breakfast is a healthy one (it\'s more like a continental breakfast) and is perfect to start the day in a good mood. We are already planning to return there in a couple of weeks.
This is a nice hotel with very simple settings on the premises. The garden like ambiance gives you a relaxed feeling here. The rooms are nice, but could be better maintained. The simple utilities like AC, hot water and Wifi are taken care. The service is very nice with the staff being very courteous. The housekeeping do a good job of maintaining the rooms clean. The food in the hotel is just excellent with special reference to the South Indian Dosa and Pongal. My wife enjoyed the fresh juice here so that, it is recommended. The stay was pleasant.
I had a good stay at this hotel and it was prime location in the main city. The food served at this hotel was good with good service. I stayed for three days at this hotel did not face any delay in check-in and check-out process. I liked the quality and taste of the food with different varieties. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The management did organised activities but I did not utilise as I had been for official purpose. The room allotted to me was neat and well-maintained. They had complimentary Wi-Fi but I did not opt but I did not have any view from the room. Chennai as a place, it is pretty good and it is my home town and it is a recommendable hotel. I had been to this hotel with my friends for business trip in February. It is bit expensive but value for money.
The room was spacious, clean, well maintained and neat. All the amenities were working properly. But there was no view from the room. The experience was good. The hotel was conveniently located. It was located in the heart of the city. The staff behaviour was good, they were quick to attend our requests. Check-in and check-out was done without any problem. Appearance wise the hotel was old. The activities were not provided in the hotel. They didn’t organize a sightseeing trip. The hotel was moderate considering the amount. I will recommend this hotel to others.
