Panaji

Panaji, also known as Panjim, is located around 4 km away from Miramar. This capital city of Goa is situated on the banks of the Mandovi River. Spread over an area of around 36 sq km, Panaji is the third largest city of Goa.

The entire city is dotted with buildings built in the Latin architectural style. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, located in the Church Square, is the prime attraction of this city. Other attractions in this city are the Dona Paula Beach, Statue of Abbe Faria and Secretariat Building.

Several tourists visit the ruins of St. Augustine's Tower and the Lady of Rosary Church. Tourists can see beautiful portraits, statues and artistic work at the Archaeological Museum in the city. The Idalcao Palace and Portuguese Baroque Church are the other major attractions.
