Panambur Beach Mangalore
From hotel ginger to Pannampur Beach it takes 10-15 min in bus, the sunset looks superb and chilling breeze, I feel nice time to relax from tiring day, and if you have kids, you will have fun. The beach has Grey sand, so u will not be able to see clear water, for kids you have amusement park and horse ride which kids love it. Kind of party beach because the restaurant has music playing after 6pm. The environment is pretty good today on 10 th Nov 2017
Cleanest beach in India perhaps
Loved It. Safe; Clean; Relaxing;Fun what more would we want in a beach? Thank you Mangaloreans for keeping it clean .......we loved every moment spent there. Water skiing was available as well as boating. You might want to carry a beach umbrella or some good hats as its really sunny. the water is clean, local food available too.
Clean and serene beach with white sand with few water sports activities and horse and cart riding. Changing rooms and toilets were there but not maintained.all were full of sand and leaves so cannot be used at all. Few eateries with reasonable price and taste is OK. Sun set is worth watching. By 8 O' clock in the evening it became lonely Beach with very few persons in and around.
very nice beach. we enjoyed for 2 days. First day during evening between 3:00 - 6:30 pm including sunset and second day during morning 10:00-11:00. Good place to enjoy for family and kids. Improvements: Difficult for ladies for dress change. All the rooms are broken and very dirty. Good to control the rates on rides.
I visited this beach during day time. I know its not the best time to go on a beach. Since it was day time, very few people were there. Life guards were there on the beach all the time. You are not allowed to go deep in the water. They have food stalls too. I had pomfret fish fry. It was okay okay. I found it a bit over rated.
Good beach, needs better quality food joints
Visited this beach in the month of June with my wife. Good beach and relatively clean. Frankly speaking, I have not visited many beaches in the past, so cannot provide a comparative review. Review is mostly based on my personal experience at this beach. Starting with the location, Panambur beach is around 8-10 km from the city. Autos are easily available (charge 1.5 times the meter as they don't get return passengers). Beach is relatively clean with hardly any benches to sit. Lifeguards are there which actively prohibit people from going far into the sea. Horse riding option is available. Though have heard about water sports options at the beach, I could not locate any, so won't comment. Coming to the improvements, this beach definitely needs some good restaurants where people can relax, enjoy sea food. Current food joints are below average and food quality is substandard. Overall, a good beach to spend couple of hours.
Nice beach to relax and have fun
It was Bangalore-Chikmaglur-Mangalore trip in bike. I must swear, half of Bangalore-Mangalore highway is too bad to drive. Basically you need to drive in hill areas for about 150km that too with an average speed of 30-40. Ok, so coming back to point this is really a fatastic beach with all basic amenities available. There is also motor boat in which you can ride for at max 5 min. Maintainance is fine. Large parking space. Foods are available. They have changing room. You can visit this beach and have some fun.
One of the popular beach in Mangaluru.
No entry fee. Only parking fee. If you are from different place then do visit during fests. Specially kite festival which will be held every once in a year. There are few water sports. Better visit during weekdays to avoid rush on weekends. Overall a nice beach.
