About Panduranga Swamy Temple

Panduranga Swamy Temple is devoted to Lord Panduranga Vithal. The idol of the god measures around 3 feet in height and he shares similarity with the childhood appearance of Lord Krishna. The idol is decorated with ornaments and wears a diamond-studded crown. A statue of Sri Abhayanjaney Swami is placed in front of the idol. The temple premise spans an area of six acres. The main entrance of the temple has a tower.

The Panduranga Swamy temple is flanked by a prakaram on all its three sides, which feature the images of the disciples of Sri Panduranga Vithal. The temple allows devotees from all castes and communities.

Just beside the entrance of the temple, there is another temple that houses the images of Rukmini, Radha and Satyabhama. Pilgrims visit the Panduranga Swamy temple during the Karthika Pournima to take a dip in the sea (Samudra Snanalu). There is also an increase in tourist inflow at the site on Ashadha Shudda Ekadashi.

Panduranga swamy temple is located in chilakalapudi near Machilipatnam(also known as bandar). In this temple, we can touch the feet of lord panduranga and we can pray the god. While going to temple don't forgot to take patika bellam(made with sugar crystals) to god. Pujari put this patika bellam near the mouth of lord panduranga and gave back to devotees. In this temple, one banyan tree is there. If you make wish in this temple. If your wish will come true with the blessings of lord panduranga. In the temples sivalayam is there, we can see lot of small sivalingam, no other temples we can't see this. We can stay night also. Hotels and Temple rooms are available for low cost. This temple is there in between Machilipatnam City and Manginapudi beach.
