Park Lane Hotel, Mysore
Sri Harsha Rd, Lashkar Mohalla, Mandi Mohalla, Mysuru, Karnataka 570001
We staid 3 nights and we enjoyed the hotel as well as the restaurant. Rooms are lovely and very clean. The restaurant proposes different kind of food and Indian cuisine as well as continental cuisine are very good. We also took the opportunity of the gift shop to buy some souvenirs.
The Hotel is very aptly located in prime location of Mysore & Interiors are too good. They represent our Rich India culture. The Hotel has very good restaurant as well which serves all type of cuisines. Also they have Live Music performance in the Weekend.
The hotel is at a central location walkable from the Mysore palace. We were greeted warmly by the reception team and the room looked well cared for and clean. The room was well provided for in terms of plug sockets and lighting. We also found the hotel very well sign posted and the food very good. There is a handy restaurant with a wide variety of drinks and cuisines on offer so even the fussiest eater can find something to eat here!
Words can't describe the shittiness we encountered at the Park Lane Mysore. Seriously, this was the worst. Wild dogs at the street entrance made it difficult for us to approach the hotel. When we called the staff to help us get past the wild dogs, they refused. Finally, the dogs dispersed, and we made a run for it and managed to get to the hotel. From there, things got even worse. The staff were rude and unhelpful. There was ongoing construction. The noise insulation was pretty much nonexistent; you could hear everything (EVERYTHING). The bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. The only thing nice about the hotel was the (completely misleading) website. Too bad you can't stay in the website. And on top of all this shittiness, it was expensive. We were swindled. Major fail.
The hotel is wonderful. Helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Good restaurant with a lot of varieties in its menu. Location is extremely good. The pool is also well maintained. One suggestion, they must include site seeing in their package along with complementary breakfast. The looks of the Front office needs some facelift. Overall it was a great experience particularly with the staff.
I visit Mysore just to hog n drink n have pleasant stay in this hotel. It has never disappointed me in any ways how many times I have came.I would love to visit again n again in d coming days. Cherished d stay whenever I have come. Ambience is what drives me crazy
Great ambiance & helpful staff. Highly recommended. Wife had insulin pen cooling needs & they were understanding. They were very accommodating Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. Early arrival & late departure was handled well with top deck & pool
The Parklane is a very nice little hotel - with very big nice rooms. Frontoffice is OK - and the staff is very nice. We enjoyed the restaurant as well - good coffee and breakfast. The hotel is point in the middle of town and next to the Palace - so walking distance to most stuff
Very good hotel excellent location very convenient to any when very good room and interior staff is very good will recommend to my family friends already visited twice before this journey swimming pool is small but very good in terrace with good view
I have stayed multiple times at ParkLane, but was disappointed by the front desk this time. Only one person was available at check-out time, which caused a queue to build up. Remember that this was the Diwali long weekend, and the hotel was full. We were 5 of us, and had booked 2 rooms (406 and 407). Had paid online for an extra bed while booking the room, and yet were asked to pay for an extra bed while checkout (Rs. 560). As I mentioned, the front office was already over stressed, and were in no position to argue. So, we had to pay. I expect a refund from Parklane.
This trip of ours to Mysore was an absolute pleasure and the stay was the most significant contributor to it. Park lane hotel looks very unconventional and the very feel about it is artistic. Let me admit very candidly that probably this is the most thoughtful hotel which might not be not so high on the luxury quotient but every bit of its design tells you that they want to make your stay convenient. Just for example, each switch in the room has a loud and funny label to it, telling what it hits. The walls have pouches and pockets all over to keep your stuff and not mess up your belongings. The restaurant also is very nice, half of which is open and that also can be closed in rains and too much sun by a roll-over roof!! The food is tasty and value for money. They also have a swimming pool which is more of a mini pool in the terrace!! And the best thing about this hotel is that it is close to the Mysore Palace. Finally why I feel they don't deserve a 5/5 is the rooms look a old and the bathrooms need renovation specially after having charged a fortune. But yes this doesn't mean they are dirty but can be looked upon by the management.
It was an okay hotel. I stayed there only for one day. I went there along with my family for roaming around in 2013. Staff was good in this hotel by nature. They were attending to all our requests on time. Bathroom was good with bath tub. Everything was neat and clean there. I did not face any problem in this hotel. It was located very close to Mysore Palace. I reached there comfortably without any problem. It was a busy area. They had their own open restaurant. Swimming pool was there. Light music was arranged by them in the night. Bar was also available there. No delay in check-in and check-out procedure. Inside and outside look of the hotel was good. It was a new designed hotel. It was not a big hotel but room was good there. Interior was new in this hotel. Room was medium in size. Everything like AC, TV, geyser, refrigerator, etc. was in working condition. No view was available from there. Staff cleaned the room daily. Bathroom and all were neat and clean there. I did not face any problem of water. I had taken morning breakfast and dinner from there. Food quality was nice. I ate veg food there. Price wise, it was reasonable. Activity was not there. Sightseeing trip was organized by our own but travel desk was available there. Finally, destination is little bit costly. It is a recommendable hotel to others. They should provide activities there. Mysore is a good place. Hotel's location was very good. Appearance wise, it was good. Reception services were also good. Overall service was good. Room was very good. Food was also very good. Activity part was worst.
Park Lane hotel is a well known hotel in Mysore. When I entered the reception I felt like I entered a Boutique hotel. This feeling evaporated as soon I started conversing with the receptionist who was brash with a 'take it or leave it' attitude ! The room was very good and very spacious with all amenities. The food was outstanding to say the least ! It was a pleasure staying in this hotel since it was at a walkable distance from the city centre.
The hotel situated near to the city. The surrounding of the hotel was clean. The building of the hotel was attractive. The staffs at the hotel were polite and friendly. The hotel was not provided parking facility. The check in and checkout procedure was done on time. The room which they allocated to me was spacious and clean. The bathroom was big. The amenities were functioning well but the refrigerator was not there in room. The view from window was fine. The bed sheets and pillows were changed regularly. The food facility at the hotel was very much delicious and the quality was also good. They had variety of dishes. The indoor and outdoor activities was not arranged by the hotel. The destination was good. I had not observed whether there was a meeting room or not. I would like to visit this hotel again. I would like to recommend this hotel for other travellers. According to me, the hotel was value for money.
