About Patalpani

Cascading waterfalls from a height of 200 - 300 feet make for an awesome picnic spot at Patalpani. The picturesque and calm ambience around the waterfalls set amidst lush greenery is worth a visit. The depth of the pool that is formed by the waterfall is considered to be so deep that it goes into the netherworld, thus the name- Patalpani. The exciting hill ranges and rugged terrain makes it a perfect place to go trekking and hiking.

"Cool place to hang out with friends and a perfect photography destination"

  • 5.00/7
  • Posted May 7, 2015
Patalpani is a cool place to hang out with friends and a perfect photography destination, a photographer will like this place. Patalpani is a bit risky and dangerous if one tries to step up into the water as there was a news of five people drowning in the stream. It is located to about 5-6 km from Railway Station and well-connected via tempos.

"Beautiful Waterfall, equip with a sport suite"

An hour drive from Indore, this destination is worth a visit for natural scenic lovers, young couples and a wonderful place for family picnics. Travellers should carry along some snacks to this place. Do wear your pair of sporty shoes to be able to trek a bit over the place and of course camera for getting memorable snaps. Overall a wonderful weekend destination for the day in monsoons.

"The sight was awesome, in fact something even more than that"

  • 6.00/7

The sight was awesome, in fact something even more than that(a milky waterfall). It's worth seeing and I am sure, no one would regret it. This was my second time I have been to Patalpani, and it's changed a lot. Now it is a much more better place to visit, since they have made railings all over the place to avoid any accidents.

Although the site is very beautiful, it's worth going there only in the rainy season. And yes I won't recommend, to go with family there. The people around are not decent enough.

An outing to Patalpani with friends, would be awesome.

Please don't cross the railings as doing so may sound exciting and lot of people do that, but the place is still risky. So enjoy a safe trip and follow the rules.
