Pepper Green Village, Wayanad
Near Kuruva Dweep Palvelicham, Mananthavady, Wayanad, Kattikkulam, Kerala 670646
We stayed at this place for 2 days from Aug 15, 2014 and we all absolutely loved the place. We went for three Breeze cottages and they were beautifully located. They had adequate space to sit around with family in the lawn as well. They had limited parking space but we did not face any issues with parking our two cars. Room: Wooden cottages on the first floor gave great view of surrounding paddy fields. The interiors were clean and toilets were very clean and hygienic. They have mosquito repellents in room which was very essential considering the forest-like surroundings. Our hot water geyser was not working but the service guys were very courteous to provide us with buckets of hot water. So no problems there at all. Vicinity: Very nice place to break out from the busy everyday life. Surroundings were very cool, pleasant and silent. The nights were especially beautiful with forest-like sounds. It was adventurous. Advise to travellers: 1. If you are coming from a neighbouring/different place to this place by car, please do not follow the GPS as it will lead you to a village road which is not serviceable by car. The muddy road is good only if you plan to walk. 2. Ensure you order your lunch and dinner by meeting the food court people/calling the reception. They have just adequate manpower to run the food business within the resort and food items are also just adequate. But overall, food was excellent. 3. We carried mosquito repellents just to be double sure we don't get back with malaria. But the rooms already had the repellents. So no worry on those lines. 4. I advise travellers to visit the place immediately after the monsoons or during the lull period of the monsoons when the rains have temporarily stopped. Its most beautiful then with fresh lush greenery all around and bright sunshine with not too much heat. Overall, a beautiful experience to remember. And yes, if I am going there again, I would definitely book this place again.
Located on the banks of great Kabini river and Kuruva islands. Rooms are very cosy and feels exactly like raw. Rooms were very clean and maintained in good condition. All the bare minimum facilities are available. Dining hall is very neat and clean. Kerala authentic food is good. Ample car parking is available and approaching road is very average. Staff is extremely courteous and helping.
Even though the route to resort seems to be like trekking, the final destination was good, lush green and serene in nature. Particularly the lush green paddy field and the river running beyond it has added abundance beauty to it's existence. However there needs to be direction boards kept in major places to show right direction particularly in the night for new travellers. Staff were very friendly and helpful and orders were serviced on request. Little bit of improvement in service time will help exhausted travellers a lot. Very calm place to spend with family.
It's a good place to be. It's at Pal Velicham near kuruva dweep. The only bad thing is the access to the resort from main road. It's in a disastrous condition. Hospitality of the staff is remarkable. All are happy to help people. It's far from Edakkal and other places. The rooms are really nice. Climate also is good.
