What travellers are saying about this hotel
Value For Money:
We were on a holiday with family and friends. We booked this hotel through an agent in Kolkata after going through reviews on holidayiq. Com. The bookings were for 3 nights. We booked 4 rooms @ Rs 2400 per room and paid 50% of the package in advance. We were promised MAP (modified American plan with free dinner and breakfast). On arrival, we were shocked to see the pathetic condition of the hotel. The hotel was cramped. The rooms smelled of dust, beds and linens were dirty, windows and doors were not working and there was no water. We did not want to check-in and wanted to leave. We wanted to leave immediately and we were ready to forego the already paid 50% of the room rent. But we were kept as hostage. The hotel staff said that even if we don't stay for a minute we have to pay the full amount promised, they threatened us that he owner mr Ital has a criminal record and will **** us and bury us in the hills. We called the agent in Kolkata and found that he was hand in glove with the hotel. As we had 4 children with us we did not fight back and paid the entire ransom and left the place. PLEASE TAKE SOME ACTION AGAINST THESE CRIMINALS.
I had visited this hotel with my family. The garden was available at the hotel. I had booked room at the hotel by online. I was satisfied with this hotel stay. The hotel was located in the city. The destination of the hotel was very good. The complimentary food was provided in the hotel.

We reached Pelling (from namchi) at 1 hour before sunset and wanted to visit singshore bridge and return before sunset. We enquired about the route from a man standing outside hotel phamrong, he told us that it may take 1. 30 hrs to go and come back from singshore. Road was almost OK so we decided to go ahead. Incidentally he was the manager of hotel phamrong. He offered us that we can leave our baggage at the hotel. (I and wife were riding on a mpotorcycle) we told him that although we have not booked a hotel yet but not sure about staying at his hotel. The nice man smiled and said, "no matter. Its your choice. " We unloaded our baggage at his hotel and started to singshore. Upon returning we saw the rooms and found them nice. We selected a room from where kanchanzanga's view would be best. Room was neat and clean with ample space. So was the washroom. Hot and cold water was available all time. We didn't take our dinner there. Had it at some restaurant. In the morning at 4:30 AM, we waked up to see the famous kanchanzanga. And we didn't have to move from our bed. We just opened the window and the stunning kanchanzanga was in-front of us, steadily coming to brightness. We also went to the terrace to take. Shot some pictures. There is a painting hanging on a side wall, on the terrace, depicting the names of the peaks that are visible from Pelling. Overall a memorable moment .. I am attaching some pics of the great kanchanzanga as viewed from the hotel during sunrise and also of the painting that depicts the peaks visible from pealing
Pelling is a heavenly town in the State of Sikkim. The view of Kanchenjunga is the highlight, especially the rooms at Phamrong Hotel are designed to relax one's eyes and mind viewing the beautiful Mountain. Loved the lobby, it was beautifully decorated and numerous activities made the trip fun and worth it.
1st visit to Pelling at tourist time of the year, book rooms in advance or else due to shortage of hotels in the area, it would be really difficult to find a comfortable hotel. Luckily we got 2 super deluxe rooms with complimentary breakfast after a long search for hotel for 2 hrs. Location was quiet, just in front of SBI ATM, plus the hotel have a good scenic view around it Hotel have a beautiful and attractive infrastructure with well furnished and decorated rooms, spacious with nice decoration of local crafts. Washrooms were clean and hygienic with hot water facility. Blankets, pillows and bed sheet were nicely cleaned, smelled new and properly washed Best part the hotel has in-house bar and restaurant. Food was quite spicy but delicious and served hot. Bar has good privacy for guests, with drinks being served at rooms as well Room service was good. Staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Overall I would recommend to stay in this hotel. Don't miss the beautiful Kangchenjunga falls, one of the best and beautiful falls we had seen in our Sikkim tour.
I went to Sikkim in August 2014 with my family and we stayed in Phamrong hotel for 2 days. The view from my room's window was so damn beautiful. The morning sun rays on Kangchenjunga was shining like gold and it could be seen from my window. We loved the experience over there. Rooms are neat and clean, also the interior is good as well.

Service provided in the hotel was excellent. Staff behaviour was very good. Room was not so spacious but it was neat, clean and maintained. Appearance of the hotel was normal. I did not face any delay during check in and check out. It was value for money which I had spent there. I did not face any problem with room service and food service.
I liked this hotel very much. Staff members were cooperative with us there. I visited there with family in June 2011. Room was spacious, neat and clean. It was maintained also, view was available from there. Food quality was good, No activity was there. They provided car facility for sightseeing. I was fully satisfied with the price, I will suggest it to other travellers. They should be added more varieties in food. Location wise, hotel was good. Appearance wise, it was very good. Front office and reception services were also very good. Services of the hotel were good. It should be little bit up to date. Room was very good, food was also very good.
The location of the hotel was comfortable and it's a convenient point to get to the market or sightseeing etc. It was an enjoyable experience and hotel service was normal and didn't face any difficulties. It's not a starred hotel, just a normal lodge and it looks good from the outside but the inside was little shabby. There is no room service, ate only dinner in the hotel, which tasted okay.
We were a group of 6 adults and 2 kids stayed at Phamrong Hotel from November 3rd to 5th.....we had a very nice experience from checking in.....room service.....room decor and everything... The kitchen staff was very cooperative....they allowed us to cook food for our kids and they helped us in cooking food for them.. The hotel is very tastefully decorated....all the rooms that we were provided had a clear view of Mt. Kanchendzonga from the bed itself....we enjoyed sunrise with a cup of steaming coffee and tea... The rooms are all spick and span......including a TV, intercom service, sofas, 24 hours geyser service....The staffs are very cooperative and would help us in any assistance that we needed....I had a very nice and homely experience staying in this hotel.
