Pineridge is over of the worst hotel that I have come across. Let me tell you why. Firstly in location like a hill station, the hotel doesn't have running hot water 24*7. The geyser is turned on only at 8am and turned off at 11am. No hot water at night. When you are visiting a hill station, you need to start early and hence need hot water atleast by 7, but they turned it on 8 and the water would take another hour to be ready. Secondly, they don't provide any drinking water at rooms. We only had to rely on package mineral water which we had to buy. Thirdly, there is no room service, no proactive cleaning done for rooms. Also the rooms are dirty and not well maintained.
Location of the hotel is good. But, services are not that good. People are reception will as for more money that the rate for car books. I asked for room heater but, they did not paid attention on the first day and on second day, they said high very high rate for room heater. Bedsheet was tattered.
The hotel needs immediate renovation. Toilets are not up to the mark .. Room services also not good. The location is fantastic. But the room heating system not good and kitchen facility was not provided. I would not suggest this hotel to my friends .. With a little care these problems can be taken care off. Even we asked for the fire place facility which took 500 rs for an evening
My stay and experience was good at this hotel. The location of the hotel was good and convenient in travelling. The appearance of the hotel was good and the staff members were good in services and friendly too. The food at this hotel was very good in taste and quality. The room provided was good and maintained well with required amenities in good condition. There was no delay while check-in or check-out. The overall destination was value for the money.
I travelled to Darjeeling and stayed in this hotel. The location of the hotel was very good. The appearance of the hotel was average internally and externally. There was no delay in check in and checkout. The staff members were helpful and friendly in service. The room allotted to us was maintained well with all amenities working properly. I did not eat food at this hotel. There were no activities in the hotel.
I stayed three nights in its high wall rooms with my wife. A nice castle like place, just in front of the mall. A little bit of decorations were clearly required as the walls were showing lash of greens, and the paintings faded out. While check-in at 12:00 o'clock we were adjusted to an adjacent room with same features as the original one was still going through with cleaning operation. The room was cosy, with a fireplace. Bathroom was fantastic, with 24 hrs hot water. The room space was fine enough to have 4 fully adult persons felt comfortable. The common balcony was mesmerising, clear view of Darjeeling city, well equipped with beautiful furniture and decorations enough for one to spend a whole day here. Now the cons: 1. Hotel is on mall road which is non taxable, so the last 100 mitre you have to climb walking with your luggage. 2. The chef was out, so the only thing we had to eat was the menu card. Thereafter they could not come up with any alternative, so we had to go out and borrow our food from someplace else. The food prices were high on the card. 3. A two feet by two feet ventilator just over the room entrance door made it feel so awkward. It was for electrical wires to pass into the room. But a giant hole to that purpose, you must be kidding me. Then a smaller hole was made on the glass bathroom door. It was evident that the same is made for opening the door in case of someone gets trapped or ill or unconscious. But then again these things should be done in a better way. Overall I would rate pineridge a 3. 5/5 for its nice location and rooms and a well behaved stuffs. But I think this place has all the ingredients to become a high profile.

The hotel is conveniently located and was easy to travel. The appearance of the hotel was average. The staff at this hotel were average at the reception and services were below average. The room allotted to me was below average with all the amenities in proper working condition. The hotel is not worth for the money. There was no delay during sign in and sign out.

Liked Chinese and continental food. Chilled weather. PINERIDGE Hotel is average. Beds are not good. Staff and service average. No restaurant is there. Needs to set up a good restaurant.

Writing a review about the Pineridge Hotel is different. It’s like writing a review about your own home. That's what this hotel has been to me during all these years whenever I've traveled to Darjeeling. Pineridge is unique in its location - its right on the Chowrasta!!! For the uninitiated, the Chowrasta or the Mall is the heart of Darjeeling town. Located on top of Nehru Road, this is a nice flat land where tourists and locals come to lounge in the sun, take a seat on one of the many benches along the periphery, and watch the wonderful views of the mountain peaks and valleys all around. If you want to feel the real vibe of Darjeeling, watch people and activities, this is the place to come. And this is right outside your Hotel. Chowrasta is just one step away from the hotel lobby. Pineridge Hotel is now a heritage building which retains beautifully the architecture of the British colonial days. As you enter the hotel through the huge heavy teak wood doors with glasses, you will see a large antique mirror in front and the reception counter on the right. From the reception and the lounge area, there is a long carpeted corridor with wooden paneling on the wall, and as you walk along the passage, look around and see the high ceiling, you can feel the intricacies of the colonial architecture. Rooms are large and have teak wood and mahogany furniture that are mostly antique. There is a dressing table with an oval mirror with carved mahogany wood and an antique chair. The large wooden cupboard has a full size mirror. The rooms also have a sofa and a table where you can relax and have your tea. Rooms are carpeted and also have fireplaces. There is a TV in the rooms with standard cable channels. The staff is always available for you for anything you may require to make your stay comfortable and this is helpful especially for first-timers to Darjeeling. Suraj and his colleagues are always there to answer all your queries and arrange for any assistance that you may require. I highly recommend the Pineridge Hotel to anyone fancying a trip to Darjeeling. I promise it will be your most memorable one.
The hotel was good. I had visited this hotel with group. The room facility was not good. The activity was available in the hotel. The service was good. The check-in and check-out was done on time. The parking facility was provided in the hotel. I don't have any suggestion for other travellers.
Have stayed in Pineridge Hotel, Darjeeling, several times. The location is very good, just besides the mall, so shops, restaurants, etc are a stone's throw away. The rooms are okay, some of the rooms feature antique furniture (though not in very good condition). No WiFi, or play area for children. There is a small open area, though not very clean. The service is not up to the mark, tea/coffee often takes about 30 mins to be delivered - and sometimes requires a reminder. The breakfast (toast and omelette) was served without any cutlery (spoon or fork). We waited for about 15 mins for them and then ate with our hands as we were getting late and couldn't wait any longer. Didn't have lunch or dinner, so can't comment on the cooking. Some facilities need to be improved, like a few more plug points for charging phones/laptops etc would be welcome. The room had just one (apart from the TV plug), so you couldn't charge 2 phones simultaneously. The geyser was another problem, the water flow from the hot tap was a trickle, so it took a lot of time and waiting. Overall the hotel scores due to the location, but needs to improve service for a pleasant stay.
There was no activity arranged by the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my family. The overall experience of the hotel was good. The location of the hotel was nice. The garden was not available at the hotel. It was a good hotel. The room was neat and clean. All the amenities were provided in the room. The service was on time in the hotel. The check-in and check-out was on time in the hotel.
It was a dream stay. The hotel was right on the mall. We thought that we were in the mall whole day. We enjoyed the sunrise everyday from the hotel and also from mahakal temple. Besides the hotel room was superb. The big room, location furniture got us in the old days. Colonial feelings were smelt there. There was a complete privacy also. Only wish there was a moderate restaurant was there for food. But we loved the hotel. I wish I go there once again.
