Planters Court, Chikmagalur

Excellent.room was clean & hygienic. Good parking space for vehicles.front desk people are cooperative & with no issues we got into our room in few minutes.the restaurant is very normal & not that great.but still for a city of chikmagalur , with no other good restaurants around , it is okay & manageable.

Worst Experience: For a small city like Chikmagalur the ac deluxe room tariff seems high.No newspaper provided to the room.

The hotel looks good from the outside but not so much in the inside. The rooms are not very good for the price they charge and room service is completely non-existent. The behavior of the staff was also not good at all. Also, it is quite far away from the bus stop and you will have to catch an auto (which is not very commonly available) to go there (all vehicles start from there and all the shops are also located there, so you will need to go there frequently). What made me absolutely angry was they disregarded our online booking which we did for 2 days and told us that it has been booked for a marriage party and could not accommodate us for more than 1 day. WTF!! We reached the hotel a little early (10 AM) and we had to wait at the lobby till 12 and shorten our plan for that day. The room service was PATHETIC. Most of the times there would be nobody to receive your call and we had to ask more than a few times just to get some water! Every time they would just say "yes sir we will send it right away" but just forget/ignore after that. What kind of a hotel makes you call/walk to the reception 5 times just to get a bottle of drinking water?? The breakfast was ok but the attached restaurant was awful. The food was not good at all. Don't stay at this hotel - that is what I would recommend. Book some other hotel near the bus stop and that will be much better if you plan to stay for more than 1-2 days.
