Panjim Hotels
Panjim, the capital of Goa is a laidback city situated on the banks of River Mandovi. Thanks to its colonial past, the city has an unmistakable European flavour. Goa being a renowned tourist destination, Panjim has a wide array of accommodation options catering to a diverse set of travellers according to their needs and budgets.
Located in the city are couple of heritage resorts were one gets to experience a perfect blend of old-world charm and luxury living. Apart from that, Panjim has numerous budget hotels scattered around the city. Most of the budget hotels are located near the Panjim bus terminal and the railway station. There are also lots of cheap options available in and around Fontainhas. The Youth hostel in Panjim is a favourite choice among the backpackers where dormitory facility is available at dirt cheap prices.
World-famous hospitality providers like the Taj and the Marriot group have already made their presence felt in Panjim. Apart from that, there are many domestic hotel chains too providing quality service to tourists from India as well as abroad. A majority of the star hotels are located near the river bank. Equally preferred by business travellers as well as leisure travellers, these hospitality providers offer their guests a wide assortment of facilities like spas, multi-cuisine restaurants, hi-tech boardrooms and concierge services to name just a few. They also provide regular pick up and drop service to/from the airport or railway station. Sightseeing packages, currency conversion and cab service are some of the other facilities offered by these hotel groups.
Usually the tourist season starts from the month of October and lasts till March. From mid-December to mid-January the season is at its peak and prices are sometimes even doubled.
