Prabhat Vihar Hotel Reviews
The ambience of the hotel was nice. The hotel location was wonderful. The hotel was good. The parking place was available at the hotel. The staff’s behaviour was not good. I had booked this room by online. The hospitality was average in the hotel. I would suggestion this hotel to improve room service. The food quality was good. The allotted room was nice. All amenities were working fine in the room. The complimentary breakfast was not provided by the hotel.
Best hotel. Close to market of this tiny hill station. Great view of hills from roof and balcony, amidst greenery, sunrise point is within hotel campus. Nice, well decorated, reconditioned rooms with modern amenities. Service is good. Staff are well behaved and co-operative. Food is delicious and affordable cost. Picturesque beauty all around with great weather. Ideal place for relaxation and refreshment.
I landed in Netarhat not knowing what to expect. All that I knew was that it was a hill station and I had gone to relax. I stayed at Hotel Prabhat Vihar because of its location. The hotel can be called as an unexpected bonanza. Climbing only a short flight of stairs you reach the terrace from where you have an uninterrupted view of the sunrise. There are several sunrise points within the campus. On wintry mornings one doesn't have to dress up or go long distances to see the sunrise as is the case in many other destinations boasting of sunrise points. The rooms are just about clean, with a television and a small bathroom. The food is palatable and room service is available. There is also a small service restaurant and that's about covers all the amenities. Almost all other attractions of Netarhat are within a ten minute drive. Make sure you ask around otherwise you may miss attractions like the Netarhat School (following the Gurukul system), or the tank and water supply system and so on. Make sure you know the timings properly, especially about when the sun sets or rises otherwise you'll miss the sights. There is no bar, so if you like a tipple, carry your own.
The hotel was reachable. I had visited this hotel with friends. The hotel staffs behaviour was helpful and friendly in nature. AC, TV and geyser were working properly in the room. I had taken food inside the hotel. The quality of food was good. Mountain View was visible from the room. The activities like indoor and outdoor games were provided in the hotel. I would like to visit this hotel again.
A picturesque place, a must-visit for nature lovers. Hotel Prabhat Vihar, run by the Jharkhand Tourism Devt Corporation, is the only hotel that is worth staying. The appearance of the hotel is modest, but the people are extremely warm and helpful. Like any other rural place, electricity is a big problem in Netarhat. So is the network. One can be in contact with the civilization only if one has a BSNL connection. But a true nature lover would rather be far from the madding crowd. The hotel itself is situated in the lap of nature. A spectacular view of the sunrise can be seen from each room. The weather is awesome too. It is a place which can be visited at any time of the year.
Netarhat ('Nature Hut' as was named by the British) is still a Nature Hut with only Airtel connectivity, else you are out of the World. Though you have options in staying in other hotel, Prabhat Vihar is the best place to halt as the boarders there gets the 1st view of the Rising Sun. The hotel in such a remote location is equipped with AC, geyser and cable connections. Food is cheap and good. If you can spare a couple of minutes in the terrace and there is a clear sky, all the cosmos are clear and prominent from here also, do visit the Ghagri Falls, Abashik School and Sunset point the day you reach.
This is only hotel which you can walk into. Other accommodations are govt guest house of PWD, forest dept, etc. Food is ok types, service is ok not royal hospitality as this place is primarily tribal place. Rooms are ok but no advance amenities like Internet, gym, pool, etc.
The location of the hotel is convenient to travel and I did not find any problem in reaching here. The appearance of the hotel is good but there was frequent power cuts. The staff members in the hotel are helpful and good in services. The room allotted to me was maintained cleanly with all the required amenities in good condition. The food provided was good in quality and taste. There was no delay made while check-in or check-out procedure. Overall, the hotel is good to stay and money spent was worth it.
The room was good with basic needs but the main problem that I faced there was that from morning there was power cut in that area. So AC was not working, vegetarian food served at the hotel was good but it was little expensive. On request, the hotel had provided us a tour guide for sightseeing. The overall stay at the hotel was worth for the money paid.
Netarhat is a must visit place for those who like to spend time with nature. The beauty surrounding this place will make you feel at peace. If you are tired of the same routine urban life and need some time to rejuvenate, this is the place for you.

As the hotel pravat vihar is a hotel sponsored & maintained by jharkhand tourism department ,so you can not expect much of a service, but hotel is at a great location & in fact the sunrise view destination in netarhat.the newly constructed building which is on the lower side of the restaurant is a little bit cleaner, with good kurl on double bed ,simple floor & bathrooms all at a price of rs 428 & so at this price you can not expect much .please do not stay in the old building which is on the higher side of restaurant as it is very old ,very soon to be demolished but surroundings is great
I went there in 2013 with my friends. Room was neat and clean. Money spend there was value for money. Food was good according to taste and quality. Sunrise and sunset view was visible from the room. Food was served in the restaurant only. No activity was there. I can recommend this hotel to others. It is a good hotel for families also. Complimentary breakfast was provided by them. Parking facility was there. WiFi connection was also there but it was not working at that time.
Hotel Prabhat Vihar is situated at very good location(Sunrise Point). You can also see sunrise from hotel roof. Rooms of hotel is good but cleanliness was not maintained by hotel staff. They swept and changed the bed sheets after two days. There are huge water crisis there. You have to wait for water for doing daily activity. Power crisis is also one more problem. Generator power was not available for more than three-four hours. Food was also a big problem in Netarhat. Only in limited place food was available. In Prabhat Vihar they provided food but cleanliness and hygiene was a big challenge in cafeteria. You get lunch after 2 o'clock and dinner after 10 o'clock. TV was not available for everyone, they provided TV in only A/C room. There are huge difference in A/C room and simple room. I suggest everyone to take A/C room if you go there. Internal telephone facility was also not available, if you want something then you have to go to reception area. There are many area of improvement at hotel. Landline was not working. Mobile no. of hotel Manager- 09304676275. If you want advance booking of hotel you can call and book hotel before reaching there. If you plan to stay there then stay for one or two days maximum.
I booked the rooms from Kolkata Office of Jharkhand Tourism and faced no problems. The location was very good. I know a friend who conducted this tour for us. The only problem that I faced was water supply and power cuts for 18 hours a day, even though generator was installed but they never used it. It was a normal room not much of any facility. The rooms were neat and clean; sunrise could be seen. The food was good because of my friend who arranged everything for us. In the dining hall TV and carom board was available. I went to this place with my family on an adventure trip in March 2014. I would not recommend this hotel.
