"River krishna"

  • 6.5/7

Flashy lights, lengthy bridge, speedy vehicles, waiting Express highways. Spectacular feel in the evening of cool breeze. Good view. You cannot stop the car and see view, when you come by walk you can.

"Awesome dam"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Jul 8, 2016
Prakasam Barrage across River Krishna at Vijayawada is the first dam in river Krishna. It's so beautiful and long, the old stone architecture seems so nice and waters also nice other side. In the evening now we have lighting reflections in water also thrilling.

"Most memorable experience"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Jan 21, 2016
I have visited the place. It was very very cool and calm place. The overview from Telugu Talli statue was quite impressing. It was one of the most memorable experiences I have enjoyed in this place. The total overview wall is very good and super at the time of sunrise and sunset. Video cameras are allowed there.

At the time British government this barrage was built, this barrage is border to Guntur district and Krishna district, it is built in river of Krishna, this barrage for the entire year is with full of water. Good for fishing, boating and island surrounding with many mountains in between river it looks very nice. This is road bridge and it is very old bridge. Storage water more useful for cultivation and industries usage.

On Krishna River, this barrage looks beautiful and worth a sight. It is just on way for you to pass thru the city to various destinations, so you don't have to visit it separately.

Almost my 10 short films shoots were done here. Every family must visit this place. Evening 5 to 6 is the best time to visit this place. It's very old but you can't feel that it's too cool.
