The lake is good and looks like its well maintained. But refreshment area around the lake didn't look that neat We took a rowing boat and the ten minutes boating was good. But one bad thing I observed is the life jacket is not made mandatory in for boating. I saw only those people using self pedaling use life jackets. This is not a safe practice. Pricing is also not that high when compared to other tourist places.

"Massive lake"

  • 6.0/7

The lake is very big and you also can go boating. You do have a spacious pavement built to walk around the lake and you also have benches and small shelters to enjoy the view of lake without going in the sun.

"A very small pond that's called a lake"

  • 2.0/7
  • Posted Feb 8, 2016
Walking the entire perimeter took hardly 5-7 minutes. Overhyped. In fact even charging an entry fee for this is pathetic. A village pond is usually bigger than this man made reservoir.

"Children's attraction"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Feb 6, 2016
The Lake is the only big attraction in Yelagiri. You have to wait a lot to get into the boat. It lasts for 30 minutes but not much to enjoy for the adults in terms of picturesque scenery, but only a child's attraction.

"Relaxing boat ride"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Jan 27, 2016
This is a very relaxing ride in a relaxing destination. Not much crowd. During the time that we went, pedal boats were not allowed. The boatman who rowed us was very friendly, non-intrusive. We could spot some good variety of birds. It takes about 30 minutes for one ride and the charge is very less -just INR 50 per head. They allow a maximum of 4 riders other than the boatman.

"Small and beautiful Lake"

  • 4.0/7
  • Posted Sep 29, 2015
A small Lake to enjoy the boating. However we didn't go for it, as that day it was very crowded and we didn't want to wait in queue for 30-60 min for normal boating. There is a small garden/park attached to it (other than nature park), which is also good.

"Poor maintenance of the Lake and its surroundings"

Very crowded place with long queue and waiting to take the boat ride. The place is badly maintained. It is not a good experience to endure the crowd and also poor parking facilities.

"Small surface with good maintenance"

  • 7.0/7

This park is a place which is more comfortable for kids as well as elders. There are a lot of kids rides. Food shop, Ice cream and soft drink shops are also available. Boating is also good and very safety. The staff treating us were good. The only thing is street dogs inside the park which is very critical and they always come near to us while eating and disturbing the tourister.

"Nice for kids"

  • 5.5/7

Nice place for kids and adults to have fun, a good experience. Entry fees is ok since it is maintained properly. It will be good to have speaker sets around the park and playing karaoke which will give some nice feel.

"Beautiful place for a happy walk"

  • 4.5/7
  • Posted Aug 7, 2015
The reason to visit this place is absolutely nothing as it's the only place to visit there. There's boating in the lake which is not great fun and the travellers can just go for a walk with their family or let the kids play around the play area.
