Hotel Review of Puri Hotels
Comments: After my marriage I went to Puri with my wife for honeymoon. I booked a room through internet well in advance. Reached there on 20th morn and left on 23rd morn. Visited Konarak, Chilka, Jagannath Mandir and enjoyed the sea bathe twice. Now about the hotel, please dont book Rs 440 rooms. Those are not good.
Best Experience: By mistake I booked a Rs 440 room for me and my wife. But after reaching there I found that the room is too small and not good. I requested the authority to change us to a higher rented room and the did it. Also the hotel's location is the best among all.
Worst Experience: They are claiming that they will provide you free pick up and drop to rail station. But the truth is that they provide it for only 2 trains, Jagannath Exp and Hwh Puri Exp. I reached by Hwh Puri, so they provided my the pick up from station but my return was booked in Nilachal express and they refused to do anything then and moreover the front-office attendant threatened me saying 'Do whatever you can do' (Ja paren kore nin) when I requested them to arrange something for my return and 'You don't know the power of Puri hotel' (Puri hotel-er khamata janen na) as if Puri hotel is there to show its power off to its customers and not to provide service..

The best thing in puri hotel is that it is located on the sea bach road at puri. Once you open the door of your room in puri hotel, you can feel the sea. Another thing which was very attractive is that puri hotel has a 24 hour check out time. The a.c. restaurant also has the best environment, delicious and cheap food....

The location of the hotel / sea facing room is excellent and you can not have anything better at that price. However, everything else is not so sweet. We reached the Puri railway station in the morning. We were told that there would be a pick up facility. (I thought someone would be waiting at the station gate with my name on a plackard!!!). We did not find anyone. Tried the hotel number - not getting through. Asked some vendor outside...

The location is no doubt the best,but the rooms are not well maintained as compared with the tariff.Front office staff are horrible.Dirty hotel....

One cannot argue that the location of the hotel is really excellent.The only disadvantage is that sometimes the tranquil environment is disturbed by the honking of vehicles.Try to take the sea facing rooms in 4th to 7th floor or the suite at the 8th floor.In all these rooms you can see the sea from your bed.Rooms are ordinary as this is not a luxary hotel but you get both A/C & Non A/C accomodation....

The location is excellent. You get a full sea view straight out of balcony of most of the rooms. And the view is majestic (credit to the sea and hotel’s location). But the hotel is right by main thoroughfare. Hence the majestic view is polluted with vehicle honking sound till late at night. Rooms are good when you compare it to the cost. Economic accommodation. Front office staffs are horrible. Avuncular figures at front office who feel they are doing...
