Hotel Review of Toshali Sand Resort
Comments: Over all puri is a good destination if you are interested in a combo holiday ie its has beaches, its scenic, it has one of the most revered Hidu Temple, it has ancient temples so oits like complete family holiday. But the Hotel Toshali is quite basic.
Best Experience: The beach and Konark temple is awesome. The drive to konark temple from Puri is great. Also in Bhubaneshwar one can look at udaygiri and Khandgiri caves which are like really old. Its field day for people who are interested in old architecture.
Worst Experience: The traffic and sanitation at puri is quite bad. The checkin and check out time at Toshali is 7:00 am which is really absurd.

Hotel Review of Toshali Sand Resort
We stayed in Toshali Sands for four days towards end of January 2008. The resort is not as bad as written by Mr. Vivek of Ranchi dated 27th August 2006 (given below). The resort is very nice and green. The studio apartment we stayed was very spacious with a lot of utensils for cooking. The restaurant serves buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is OK. Even non-standard items were served within 20/30 minutes. Food is very expensive even...

Beware of this resort. We had an awful experience when we landed up at Toshali Puri on 13th August,2006 for a 3 night stay till the Independence Day. We were 6 couples , all with kids. The cottages they give are infact not big enough to be classified into rooms even (size would be 12ft X 12ft) and the bathrooms have just enough space to stand up (size 4ft X 4ft). well, puri has been my anytime favourite and this time i choosed to enjoy this resort by just lazing in the sun & sand. the resorts was excellent as well the staff & reception counter was very friendly & co-operative. we missed the private beach as it is very far away and spending evening on beach and having breaffast their is not possible as was possible on other beach based resorts. overall experience satisfactory....

It is good value for money. The choices in the buffet should be varied more often. Very helpful staff. Sea side activities should be increased WITHOUT affecting the virgin nature of the beach....
