Pondicherry food, sight-seeing and shopping options
The food is good, especially in the French quarter. There are a number of cafes and bistro type restaurants very close to the beach. there is ample shopping, but for indians, it is all the same. There is nothing special that you will find in Pondi as such. Auroville is a nice place to go to, but do check with tourist info office, coz there are a fixed number of people permitted to go to Matri-Mandir, their main attraction. You need to book ur meditation session in advance.

Hotel Review of Quiet Healing Centre
Comments: Great Place - be prepared to be treated more like a guest house and not like a resort
bang on a clean beach - wish they can keep it open till 10 pm at night esp in a hot place like pondy
Best Experience: my 2 yr son could get milk at anytime from the kitchen
Worst Experience: food quality is not good - they are stuck between whether to take care of foreigners or indians. and in the bargain dont satisfy either
