We absolutely loved this hotel. The place is like a 30 min drive from the airport. The hotel is grand and looked like a new property. Our check-in was a breeze and the front desk officer even upgraded us (for no reason! ). The only downside was the room-service which was slow and unwelcoming.
We had reached couple of hours before the check-in time and so our rooms were not ready. But there was a mall downstairs where we did our timepass before getting the room. On persistent follow up, we finally got a room but only at the check-in time and not prior to that. Further, since we visited the hotel around Valentine's day, we had also precooked our dinner on the night of 13 Feb to bring in valentine's day by paying additional cost and we were told that it would be a candle light dinner in their restaurant with special arrangements. However, when we entered the restaurant for the dinner, we were told that our dinner was arranged in some common banquet which was a buffet with just casual sitting and no proper arrangements. Only after pestering the hotel staff that this is not what was promised to us, they allowed us to sit in the restaurant which looked like we were getting what was promised to us. But we got this treatment only after pestering the hotel staff for 15-20 mins. Apart from this, our overall experience at the hotel was amazing. We were accompanied by Vandana from the lobby till our room. She was very sweet and courteous. She explained us the activities, restaurants, and other things located in the hotel. She ensured our comfort first. There was a disc lounge ASOM whose entry was from this hotel which added to our memorable stay at this hotel. The swimming pool and the recreation area was closed for rennovation/ repairing and hence, there were not much activities to do in the hotel. But the rooms were clean and tidy and it was a relaxing stay.
I have stayed at a fair share of Carlson properties and this was by far among my least favorite. I was here for 3 days on a Business Trip and having booked an Executive Suite, I expected a better experience. First off, the property houses a shopping mall in Level G, 1 and has a common entrance; which mean be ready to see a crowd sitting around at all times. Despite several reviews complaining about the reception, my check-in was pretty quick and efficient. Coming down to the room details, The room was pretty decent sized but they could have done much more with the space. It seemed pretty vacant for being the highest value room in the property. Talk about amenities & services, housekeeping will hardly show-up if you call them in the evening hours. In-room dining was pretty efficient during all 3 days of my stay. I need to mention this one particular incident; the gym is someone they might want to consider replacing. Me and my female colleague went up to check-out the pool and the gym and there he was ogling and passing on remarks; when he realised we could hear him he came close and started asking us which room and why swim in the winters (what's your problem dude. Mind your business to what you are paid for). This was a creepy experience and not expected from legacy hotel chains. The breakfast spread was pretty wide and decent. On the contrary, the bakery at the reception was downright disgusting. I bought a set a french macaroons and they were as hard as stones. All in all I would avoid this hotel if you can manage to get nearby properties like the Taj or Welcom which come at a similar price. Especially because of the creepy encounter with the gym staff.
Great rooms. F&B outlets and warm service and hospitality. Very much accessible to Delhi Airport and also part of a good shopping mall. Complete amenities was available. Great place to stay. Looking forward to next visit for stay and food. A nice place to stay and the staff were very good. I particularly liked the services of a staff(forgot the name) member who is working there and is very cooperative and hospitable. I also liked the environment. Had a pleasant stay.
Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet, giving me directions to a function I was attending along with a helpful map, ensuring parking in car park and facilitating an early check in. If nothing else had gone right with hotel this lady ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
