Hotel Review of Dr Modia's Health Resort
Comments: The experience was quite good. It’s a good place for relaxation & leisure, recommended for the whole family.
Best Experience: 1) The surroundings were excellent- the greenery, mountains, small streams & a small waterfall coming down from the mountain was a wonderful experience. This happens only in the monsoons.
2) The food was excellent.
3) The swimming pool & health club facilities are also good.
4) The staff is courteous & polite.
Worst Experience: However we never complained about some problems to the staff as I thought that they were not too big, but here are some of those to mention.
1) The room's colour was a little bit patchy due to repairs done.
2) The AC was very old & some of the parts were missing; sometimes it would switch off automatically even when the electricity is there.
3) They have an in-house cable TV which only shows some two to three boring channels which is quite a letdown.
4) If you don't have an alarm clock, don’t worry because the crows wake you up early in the morning with their constant cawing! This I think is a problem which is very difficult for the management to handle.
5) Missing your house pests? Do not worry as we saw a lizard roaming outside our cottage room which was a bit scary. The management should definitely do something about this as its resort is considered to be one of the finest; they should maintain the high standards.

This place near Karjat is a beautiful place surrounded with greenery, perfect for a weekend getaway near Mumbai and even the famous Matheran is only 20 km away from the resort. It’s individual cottage type resort, each having 2 rooms. Only thing is it does not have an open garden in front of the room as all the rooms are parallel to resort's internal road.
