Bangalore food, sight-seeing and shopping options
To See: The Zoo and the Grand Safari are recommended. There is usually a long queue for the safari. Give about an hour for the safari and anywhere from 2 to 3 hours for exploring the zoo.
Follow that with a visit to the Butterfly Park. You can easily spend another hour here.
The Fare: Adults 100 (125 on Holidays), Children 50 (65 on Holidays), Senior Citizens 65 (80 on Holidays), Video Cam 110 & Still Cam 20.
Food: While there are various small 'dhabas', if you cannot carry your own food, which is the best, opt for either the lunch on order from the Jungle Lodges & Resorts people or the Mayura restaurant. The Jungle Lodges & Resorts order desk is in side the zoo itself, just as you make your way towards the Safari queues. Place the order here before you run off to the safari or seeing the rest of the zoo.

Hotel Review of Ramanashree California Resorts
Comments: This resort might have been in the best surroundings earlier but today it is surrounded by high-rise apartments and residential houses inching in on the privacy one could enjoy otherwise. The appearance of the resort is nothing special except for some interiors such as the TempoTraveller-like bar named 'Men at Work' and their dance room. We had a good time as we went together in a team as a company day-out and the facilities were good enough to provide us the required space and freedom to enjoy ourselves.
Best Experience: The conference rooms were good and well maintained. The swimming pool was neat and clean with an encroaching eatery 'Whispering winds' from one of its sides. The service was excellent with well-trained staff. The lawn was well maintained though with some uneven surfaces.
Worst Experience: There are not much leisure activities available other than the usual badminton, table tennis, etc.

we went with the idea of enveloping ourselves in spaciousness and posh ambience that one would expect here, given the tariff of Rs 3000. However the rooms are stuffy. All in all, it can said that its a good , calm get away (the wild acres hidden behind the resort) with EXCELLENT food and service...

We didnt feel like we were in a resort when we reached there. We didnt find any reception at all. But we enjoyed ourselves with the facilities like football and waterpolo in the pool....

Service stops at 12 in the night which doesnt quite go well with a resort. They should have flexibility to depute at least one person for servicing late night gatherings. The charges for consumables were exorbitantly priced, for instance one tennis ball was priced at 90 Rs. The breakfast buffet is fairly ok while buffet for other meals is pretty sad. The Dhaba, their restaurant is pretty good for North Indian food though....
