Ranthambore food, sight-seeing and shopping options
There are no restaurants in the area, if you wish to try something else from your hotel’s menu card. The food at the hotels is good, and have offer continental, Italian and Chinese apart from our desi khana . Do carry lots od chips, cookies & coke etc. there are very few shopes around. There are couple of handicraft shops on the Ranthambore road, as most of the tourist here are foreigners the prices are high so don’t forget to bargain.

Hotel Review of Castle Jhoomar Baori
Comments: Ranthambore is a quiet, laidback, cool place in winters. Very good for total relaxation. However, holiday season is avoidable since the whole town is teaming with tourists, and even the animals in the safari seem aware of this. You are not likely to see a tiger when there are 700 tourists going into the park everyday!
Best Experience: Visit to the Fort and the Ganesh temple therein. The priest told us historical legends in detail. There are small forts and a giant elephant on the drive to Tonk which are off the beaten track but worth a visit.
Worst Experience: No bad experience as such.

Great place! The resort is like an old Haveli and the driveway to it is extremely good. Away from the heart of the city, it gives a sense of adventure even before you land there....

Castle jhoomar baori is the only resort in Ranthambore which has this breathtaking view of the entire forest reserve. the stay was pleasent though the food is not so greaat....
