Is there a facility to reach Murud by boat from Gateway of India, Mumbai.

ROAD DIRECTIONS TO KASHID / MURUD / JANJIRA FROM MAHABALESHW
Hi! I would appreciate if someone could help me with precise driving directions from Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar to Murud / Kashid and then back to Mumbai. I have to drive my brother and his wife who will be arriving shortly from abroad and I have a very bad road sense. Also, advice on where to live in either Murud / Kashid since they would like to enjoy a clean beach. Thanks and hope to hear of very definite driving directions with approx distance and timings. Jal
