I had been with my family to Kumbakonam to visit the temples and to visit Velankanni 2 months ago. We came to know about the Rayas Grand through a family friend and also looked at the website to know more about the hotel. We booked a room there. It was a pleasant stay, that me and my family would always remember. My son who is 8 years old, still relishes the 3 days of memory and wants to stay in that hotel whenever we visit Kumbakonam again. Even to reach the hotel, they called us to confirm the time of our arrival and guided us with directions to the hotel. The rooms were quite spacious and nice with comfortable beds & furniture and the ambience was really good. Few aspects all of us in the family liked in Rayas are a) clean and hygienic environment - The room, bath & toilet, the common areas - corridor, lifts, reception every place was clean and had a fresh and welcoming look. b) kind and courteous staff - every staff member that we met - the person at the reception or the room service guy, everyone was courteous and ready to help the guest. This definitely made us feel comfortable and at home. c) The restaurant was too good- quite clean and had a wide variety of foods to chose from. The food was quite tasty and at the same the price was very nominal. I would recommend Rayas to my friends and relatives.
We have stayed in all of their properties - Rayas, Rayas Annexe, Rayas Grand. All of them are good and especially the GRAND has a star quality standards. My entire family opts to stay only at Rayas Grand that too only in the SUITE as its more spacious and facing the TANK. Clean rooms, and in particular the SHOWER is too too too good. In-fact I asked the duty manager how they maintain that shower pressure part and he explained nicely. Very nice team and they have a 100% Veg restaurant, which is good as well. I certainly would recommend this group to anyone who wishes to come to Kumbakonam and wishes to stay. My best wishes to the owners and their team to maintain the property in the best way as always.
I visited Kumbakonam and stayed in this hotel. The location of the hotel was very good. The internal and external appearance of the hotel was very good. There was no delay in check in and checkout. The staff members in the hotel were helpful and quick in services. The room allotted to me was very good and it was well maintained with all required amenities in working condition. I ate food in the hotel and it was very good in quality and taste. There were no activities in the hotel.
Excellent hotel at Kumbakonam. Excellent facility for low budget with business class experience. It is located at centre of the town. Temple view is good. Located just opp. To famous Mahamaham Tank. Excellent service. Having excellent parking facility. Excellent service. Veg restaurant is very good.
I had been to this hotel in the month of January 2017. Room tariff was thousand three hundred. I went for temple purpose. I would rate the destination excellent as I like Kumbakonam temple. The location of the hotel was very good. The room maintained staff service was good. The location was near to Maha mahakulam. The appearance of the hotel very good as the food arrangement was good. Reception was very good since the staff guidance was good. I booked the room directly. The room was very good, as it was clean and spacious along with basic amenities. The room service was very good because they provided hot water on time. The food was very good and all verity available but we took only veg food. We had our own vehicle but they guided for sightseeing places. I will recommend this hotel to my relatives. Overall, experience was very good.
