We visited Baga in the month of May 2017. I booked the room from Thomas Cook. The location is quite far from Beach. If you want to enjoy beach you can take the car it will take only 10 min. There are sign boards giving directions to the hotel. There is a bridge it is very convenient to go from there. The appearance is beautiful. It is near to the big lake. It is surrounded by greenery. Rooms were well placed and we could see the beach from the room. It was good. There is no parking facility. There is little space for a rented car. We can park the vehicle there. There is pick-up and drop facility. There is a separate room for drivers but they do not get service. The front office check-in has 12-noon service. The rooms are in a building. It seems like the lake is there in the hotel. We had booked double occupancy along with AC. It was clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were very clean and clear. The balcony was in front of the lake So there was a good view. We could have drinks from the balcony. The food was not good in the hotel. There are a restaurant and mini bar in the hotel. Other activities were there like swimming pool. I will definitely suggest other travelers can stay here. If they go by car it is a problem for parking. If the management staff wants to improve the hotel they should include ample of parking space. If the hotelier wants to improve food quality should be maintained. After a long journey if we get good food. We can enjoy our stay here. Other things will become good. Overall it is a good hotel.
The one word that describes this hotel is 'Tranquility'. If you are not too fussy about food and service, than this is the place for you in Baga. I have checked in this hotel many times in the last 10 years and the food and service remains acceptable but not impressive, The rooms are clean and neat. The linen and bedsheets have been clean and crisp on my every visit. The housekeeping is commendable compared to other hotels in this budget. The only good food you can expect in breakfast are eggs. All other north or south Indian food that they serve are not worth trying. They do serve at least one South Indian or one North Indian dish for breakfast. They have 2 swimming pools but I have used only one and it is quite clean. A long walk on the pathway around the lake is very soothing. The entire property is covered with big coconut trees. It's a huge property within the many lanes of Baga but away from the noise and chaos of tourists which are attracted by the popularity of Baga beach. The hotel with a big water body / lake has some pedal boats and fishing facilities on chargeable basis. The hotel is well connected with most attractions in the area just a stone throw away. One piece of advise to fellow travellers - do not take the third floor rooms during summer, it gets very hot and uncomfortable. All in all, it is a great place to spend some quite moments with family.
The front desk staff is very friendly. Hotel is very nice, rooms are very specious, very nice swimming pool. Only problem about the room is the air conditioner. The air conditioner is too small as compare to room size so it takes long time to get a cooling effect. Room cleaning system is good but not on time. Also in bathroom, the hot water facility is poor. At the time of breakfast, the service was not efficient as well as the food quality is not up to the mark. Every time, we have to call the staff to inform that which food item is short (like bread is finished, milk in the can is over etc. ) But I don't have much complaints about this. I have decided that, when ever I will visit the Goa, I will stay in this hotel. Because of the friendly staff and location.
We visited Baga it was a holiday trip. I went there along with my family in the month of May 2017. We booked the room directly. There is no parking facility in the hotel. We went there by own vehicle. The best way to reach the hotel is by Kolhapur. It is a single road. The location is well placed. There is beach nearby hotel. The appearance has good looks. The exterior is better than the interior. The front office responded very well. It was normal service. They did not delay in check-in and check-out. The service is prompt one. We did not use much of services. We booked executive rooms. Beds were well maintained and comfortable. From windows we can see pool and lawn. We got all basic things in the room. We had complimentary breakfast in the hotel. It was tasty. We had lunch outside the hotel. We had brought kids along with us. So we planned to have food outside the hotel. Other activities were there like swimming pool. Well maintained pool. For improvements they should work on parking there should be playing area for kids. In Pool they should keep tubes for children. We had to purchase them as it was not there.
I was here with my family to celebrate my birthday in the mid Dec 15. My wife arranged cake for me through hotel staff, the cake was awesome, it was a small cake, but cute and awesome. View from our room was Lake view a I have seen the reviews of previous travellers. I talked to manager and requested for Lake view room and he arranged it and there are pool view rooms also. Food with karaoke was there with helpful and pleasant staff. Morning breakfast variety was good and I requested for omelette and it was awesome with tea. Road touched hotel, but peaceful stay. The rooms are of old patterns of Goa, but neat and clean. When entering there is one small hall then your bedroom and then your balcony. Kitchen is also given with hall attached, wash-rooms are clean and clear. What I didn't get was proper parking area at hotel, hotel is not having its own parking area, but has security guard so you can tell him about your car. I didn't got the AC remote as it was default set 18 deg and Welcome kit + Shaving Kit. These are now normally provided by the 2 - 3 star hotels nowadays. Club Cubana is very near to hotel, so you can go and have party there. In front of lake there is a place where Saturday market is organised by Local vendors, you can buy things from that market. But as I expected the clam and peace was there in this place.
