The hotel is situated on the other side of the backwaters where you can only go by boat. The hotel has their own boat and they came to pick us up. It was a ten minute ride and you could watch as houseboats moved around you. The hotel staff was really very hospitable and they took great care of us. They provided us home made food and it was delicious. The morning breakfast was really sumptuous. The puttu and Kadala was really delicious. They also have their own houseboat and you can book that in case you wish to take a day ride or an overnight ride. The rooms were spacious. I would definitely like to visit there once again for some more days.
Quite enthralling with a backwater ride to the resort ,a cool welcome drink and plenty of space for children to play around. We played Chess and Carrom for leisure.
You will find a lot of resorts in Alleppay, and they seem beautiful when you are booking them, but believe me they are so crowded and adjacent that you do not get to enjoy the serenity of backwaters. Stay in Riverine and you save yourself from that. Situated in a district known as Kanjpadam, which is not accessible by road, the hotel boat will come to pick you. There are a row of 10 huts in this resort with good food, view, calm environment without any nose of houseboats, hammocks, and amazing greenery.
I would recommend this resort to everyone. I never imagined that our stay could be this great. Binoy very well took care of our requests, we were given the fresh coconut water on arrival which we found too different. Just too good, he took us for a walk in the village which was too good an experience. Room was just in front of the river and very clean. Food was great, Shikara ride was just unforgettable. Will definitely visit again.
We visited Riverine Resort in Oct. Awesome location. Resort is surrounded with backwater. Rooms are small but clean. Service was good. Staff were very helpful. The best part of the stay was the food! I definitely recommend this resort for pleasant stay with outstanding service.
