The cottage I stayed is outstanding. The view from Balcony is picturesque with a river flowing at the bottom and fog covered mountains at the top. The Hotel is maintained very neat. The staff were polite and responsive. Breakfast has been good with many choices/varieties. We have thoroughly enjoyed the stay
I had a Family trip in the month of July at Munnar The destination was excellent. The location of the hotel was excellent. The receptionist of the hotel was very good. The appearance of the hotel was very good. The room of the hotel was very good. Food and drinks of the hotel were excellent. The hotel activities were good. The service of the hotel was excellent.
First of all the pictures can't even describe the beauty of this place. I am not saying this because I am being biased but I am a very selective person and I only give good feedback for things which I really like. The overall location, ambience, the rivulet property, the concept of Resort's, courtesy of the staff, service everything was at par. The most distinguishing factor for this was not that the rooms were good and ample of space was given and other amenities that other 3/5 star hotels provide but the location and the scenic beauty you experience here. Imagine yourself cut out from the hustle bustle of the city, somewhere on the hills with water stream in front of you and as you open the sliding door to terrace you find nothing in front but just water and hills. You get good food in the buffet so you don't have to go search for other restaurants nearby, also the choice menu was cool and decent enough. Once we landed here we didn't feel like going out and exploring Munnar as the environment itself captured us. I will suggest you to take rest for the day you reach Munnar and experience the beauty and property of Rivulet. Go for bamboo rafting and bird watching or stroll in the park or better just do nothing and listen to the calmness of the place. I am pretty much sure that like us you will fall in love with the place and every penny you spend here is worth all of it. We loved it and I am sure each of the Resort is as good as the one we stayed in. I also suggest you to visit this place during rainy season which off course is the peak time to visit Kerala because it enhances the beauty of the already serene place.
A very nice resort, with great location. Clean and beautiful ambiance. Would love to visit again and again. This is in the heart of the Munnar Valley. Nice property with very nice service. They made the food as per my request (I like spicy food, so they did take care of that). However, I found the price of food pretty high. I visited this hotel in the month of Feb, and the weather was nice that time. You can experience the fog and they take you for the free tour for the resort garden in the morning. Hotel also has the facility of massage and Spa. But nothing can beat the location of this fantastic hotel.
Nice and quiet place. But to commoners this may seem as very remote and inaccessible, like for our driver for whom it was a bit of toil to negotiate the route which in this little and beautiful hill resort of Kerala was otherwise OK. The hotel has some cottages by the rivulet in a slant slope on one side of the road while the reception and the restaurant is on the opposite. The cottages are breathtaking and nicely laid out. The bedroom has exquisite view of the dark green vegetation filled mountains with brightly lit rooms of hotels dotted throughout it with the river flowing leisurely downstairs. One can actually access the river and have an intimidate chit chat with it. The bathrooms are quite modern with quality fittings and fixtures as well as toilettes. The service is also great. The restaurant is on the other side of the cottages and if it is raining then you may think twice to go for your dinner which happened to us one night. However, the food was not that great and if you stick to the dal roti fare then it is OK. Complementary breakfast was quite sumptuous. There is a small garden with children's play area complete with swings and all. At night you can really enjoy the ambience with a quite walk down the hill under the surreal surrounding. You can really enjoy the stay here.
The destination of the hotel was good. The room given to me was clean and tidy. The view from the room was good. The food was good and tasty on this hotel. All variety of food was available in the hotel. Spa was available in the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my family. It was a good hotel. The hotel was located inside the hotel. The ambience of the hotel was good.
We were on our honeymoon trip spent on the end of Oct 2013. Pros: It was a newly constructed site. We stayed in the ground floor. Think royal suite. It was a 2 room suite. The room was spacious. The small river stream flow had a direct straight view from the bed. The stream flow was so natural and good. We have asked n arranged for our bed decorated with flowers for honeymoon and a candle lit dinner. It was done good. We had a great candle lit dinner. It was dark n there was so much privacy. The food was excellent, tasty, mouth watering. esp the malabari parota. We met the owner in the restaurant and he was asking our feedback. We have informed there was no hangers provided. Immediately it was done. Service was excellent and at our door steps. Manager was so friendly. As informed activities like trekking, spice plantation, fishing etc were available, but we haven't gone due to time constraint. Cons: It was far from Munnar town. Still doesn't matter that much. Hot water is not sufficient, if its a shower bath, as there was only a storage geyser provided. No buffet was available due to less crowd at the time of our visit. Al a carte was expensive.
