MTDC Holiday Resort Bhandardara Reviews

Road from Ghoti to Bhandardara is worst and this will discourage me from going there often otherwise this hill station is beutiful and I would have gone there once a year at least. resort booking was done through an agent, Nita Travels, Borivali west with ease. MTDC is very nice resort to stay, very clean, having good room service though my room no 14 phone was out of order and inspite of complaining it is not repaired or replaced so I have to do STD from my mobile to get room service. Food is okay. one guide has approached us on reaching MTDC resort who has shown us areas such as Wilson dam, Arther lake, Kokan kada dam, Amruteshwar temple ect. we have roamed in jungle of Bhandardara for about 4 hours. weather was cloudy with fog at so many places and cool air flowing, which was a great experience and can be compared with Kashmir. Surprisingly there is no mosquito menace. One should not avoid boating which gives you immense pleasure of scenery around the lake.

Worst Experience: NIL

The Best time to visit this place is from August to October as the dam is full and the views are excellent then. Place is excellent for one day stay but not more as there is nothing great apart from the MTDC resort which commands a strategic position..

Best Experience: Best part - view from rooms was amazing..... rooms were also nicely maintained.... the place was neat and clean

Worst Experience: Room service was pathetic.... v asked for an extra blanket but nobodycame to give us that despite calling them twice or thrice....

it was v v v good . m.t.d.c. staff was good .over all atmosphere was v good. v much homely treatment .

The place is very scenic. Best season is the monsoon. Mountains r rocky but greenery everywhere, surrounded by well cultivated farms.. People r mainly into farming.. good hill station at a ht of 750.

Best Experience: Randha falls, wilson dam, kalsubai peak, power stn, r worth visiting. Mtdc cottages r located at the best location with valley and lake view. good place to relax.

Worst Experience: MTDC rooms r not well maintained, service is pathetic, canteen is worst, intercom, lights r non functional, and the bedspreads, matresses, bedsheets r all damp and wet due to the weather conditions.. NOT MAINTAINED AT ALL!! try an alternate option for stay and food.!
