Roorkee Cantonment is the prime attraction of the city which is one of the oldest cantonments in India. The Cantonment also acts as the headquarters for the Bengal Engineering Group, also known as The Bengal Sappers. A stroll around the War Memorial inside the Cantonment can be enjoyable.
War Memorial was constructed in order to honour the soldiers of the army. The memorial is the embodiment of the tower located outside the fort of Guzni that was destroyed by the Sappers.
