We had a residential 3 days workshop in this palace hotel. Royal Orchid is royal in every sense true to its name. The rooms are very spacious (palacious to say - This is a palace converted hotel and it shows. This used to be the summer palace of the Mysore Maharaja once). The big balcony attached to the room has the view of the sprawling and beautiful Brindavan gardens. It seems all the rooms have garden view here. Nicely done interiors. The conference room is good. The staff are polite and really take care of the guests and the food is also good. The GM personally dropped in to ensure the arrangements are in order. There is a Spa to indulge in.

With the hectic work schedule of March and year end, this was a quick, short getaway for our anniversary. We landed up at the hotel without any expectations - but what a grand site awaited us. The location of the hotel is just amazing.

Even the look of the place, in regal white is a sight to behold. The lobby was quite neat and well laid out, with all the right stuff. Please do not compare it with 5 star hotels for facilities - but overall it creates an experience worth cherishing.

The icing on the cake was the thunderstorm - not common in March. It just added so much more romance and mystic to the entire place. The morning walk with a hotel attendant explaining each nuance of the garden was very informative.

It was as if we were royal guests for two days with all the attendants (hotel staff) at our beck and call to fulfill every wish that we had. Food was quite tasty and the overall service - just great.

The hotel was located exactly next to the garden. I didn't face any problem to reach the hotel. The food was provided by the hotel. Varieties of food like Chinese and Continental were provided. The taste of the food was good. The activities were provided by the hotel but I didn't participated. AC, TV and refrigerator were in working condition. Hot water facility was also provided. The staff behaviour was good and well mannered. The room in the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The service was good and quick in our request. Internet facility was provided. The hotel welcomed with a complimentary drink. I was able to see the garden view from my room.

There were days when people from far away places in India used to come to South India for their honeymoon and the iconic Brindavan garden was definitely in their itinerary. This hotel is right inside Brindavan garden confines and that's the biggest best part about it. All rooms are garden facing and it's a pleasure to have a walk in the area after garden public timings with all the view without the crowd.

Now coming to the hotel review. I went there for a special occasion and had ordered for a cake to be placed in my room before I arrived. Despite confirmation that was not done until I sent at least 4 reminders. I did not quite make an issue as I did not want to spoil our mood. The hotel does not have lift, so please choose the room accordingly. The rooms layout is good but, cleanliness is an issue. When we checked in the table and chairs in the room were dirty and toilets are leaking. Swimming pool is very basic and remains dirty with leaves and insects. The changing room stinks. Spa is good but, food is average.

Stayed for one night on 11 th May 2015. A place worth staying to get cherishable memories. The property provides more than what is mentioned on the net in terms of hospitality, location, food, location etc. The staff is extra helpful. The view of brindavan gardens is awesome from the hotel. There is extra bonus of visiting the garden early morning for the guest staying at the hotel as there is a passage from the hotel to the garden. They also upgraded us from queen room to king room at no extra cost. I would always stay there whenever possible.

The location of the hotel is mesmerizing with a perfect view of the amazing Brindavan garden through the balcony of the hotel room. The rooms are well maintained and spacious. Food is ok type, nothing great not much variety in menu especially in non veg section. Staff were friendly and service was good. Would recommend it for staying and not for food.

You will be shocked by the view. The location in the Brindavan garden steals the show. Night walk around the garden is heavenly!! If you want experience the solace and calm of night, here it is. Hotel food is okay. Rooms need some revamp. However, the amenities makes it the best weekend stay.
