This hotel is located bang inside the iconic Brindavan Gardens of Mysore, with a path leading inside the gardens from the front porch of the hotel. That's a boon because you can walk into this attraction whenever you want.

The property is really grand with big rooms (many of them with an attached balcony), high ceilings and spacious corridors. The bar in the front verandah overlooks the Gardens and is a great sight in the evenings.

What it could improve on is the quality of food (as well as the choice). Considering it is a premium hotel, there is a lot lacking there.

Also, the staff number is low. While the existing members try their best, the overall service is not too good.

Not worth the money spent, half the facilities quoted are dead. Food was ordinary. The only fact that it is located in the Brindavan garden saves it from being a total disaster. Room are big and well made but otherwise nothing else is good and it becomes a costly affair.

Though we reached on time, we had to wait for the room to be ready. Half the menu items were not available including desert. Swimming pool was very dirty couldn't use it. Service was very bad looked like hotel was understaffed. No Wi-Fi password was provided even after request.

The Royal orchid is within the Brindavan gardens and offers a hilltop view of the entire gardens. Only 24 rooms means this is a very exclusive location, shared with only a few people at a time. Every modern facility is offered within this heritage hotel room. Huge balcony with the view that was featured in a lot of the older/ classic Bollywood movies. Huge rooms with gigantic windows which look out on the gardens. One of the most comfortable beds ever with and olden times charm, which just cannot be recreated in today's world of furniture malls and ikea flat packs. The friendly service by the staff, who really become your friends left me with only 1 thought when I checked out. I would love to return and stay at least a week. There are more expensive places, however I don't think they are as exclusive as this place. At check-out, the manager had a wonderful surprise for us, to be able to visit a special part of the garden, which is not open to everyone and required special permission to be arranged. We got the best pictures there. This is one of my nicest hotel stays in an Indian hotel.

All fittings in bathroom is of filthy quality. A cheap toilet seat cover of plastic material which does not fit the water closet. And the reception confirmed they don't entertain 3rd party reservation and hence provide such bad rooms reserved for low price.

Extremely nice place to stay if you desired to see Vrindavan Garden. You can view garden from practically each room and also see the garden changing face throughout the day from your room. Food also delicious, good for young as well as family, better with family.

Though I have booked for Queen room, I have upgraded to King room. Because the queen room I found bit compact and more pricey.

Pros:

Location of the hotel is excellent. With wooden flooring and screens covering the plus size windows and doors are awesome. The interior lights and the bed arrangement is superb. One can get a complete view of Brindavan garden from the terrace. The elephant bar is also feels good. The nirvana terrace is a nice place for candle light dinner.

Cons:

Quality in room furnitures can still be improved. Wash room feels old. Compared to other hotels in city this looks like more pricey, but only the location and room interior are the plus points. Food at the restaurant is too costly.

Stayed overnight at Royal Orchid Brindavan. Our room was overlooking the beautiful Brindavan. Excellent location, extremely nice, courteous staff with smiling faces. Good food. Loved the stay at Royal Orchid Brindavan, and looking forward to visiting again!

Good location. Breakfast menu is bad. There were no much options and the Mock-tails were tasteless. Quality of milk and Curd was like a cheap hotel has added water into it. Bathrooms need repair and There were Ants in the room which was very disappointing.

Only their staff was good but don't know why they serve such a bad food. My Cousin was Platinum member with Royal Orchids for many years, but this year he cancelled his membership for the reason their food quality is going bad day by day.

It's good but way too commercialised. Can be made more authentic by customising it to Indian style. More of south Indian food or Mysooru food should be made available.

Washrooms are nice but if squat style is implemented it's healthier and beneficial.
