Royal Orchid Brindavan Garden Reviews
I had visited this hotel with my family. There were activities arranged by this hotel. The complimentary Wi-Fi facility and breakfast was provided in the hotel. The food was nice with quality and quantity. The location of the hotel was good. The parking place was good in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for upcoming travellers.
Located inside the Brindavan gardens, this is the only hotel in the vicinity. The uniqueness is the accessibility to the gardens through the day. What is discouraging is that hired taxis are not allowed to park in the complex, the chauffeur facilities are not available and the front desk needs lots of maturity. The manager of the facility needs to....Read More
The hotel room was good. A great advantage that its right in the Brindavan Gardens. Breakfast was okay. Other amenities like Wi-Fi and swimming pool were not working when we were there. Overall, enjoyed our stay.
The hotel was located in the city. The destination of the hotel was good. The hotel location was nice. The hotel interior was good. The check in and checkout process was good. The service was good in the hotel. The food was very nice in the hotel. The activity was not arranged by the hotel. Wi-Fi facility was not available in the hotel.
Bathroom tub is pathetic. I expected it to be lot better and not up to the mark. Facilities also need to be improved. However the breakfast is very tasty and we enjoyed the Buffet.
The place can be kept in a better condition for sure. WiFi was not working. Water stopped because of power outage and there was a complete black out for 5 mins. Which is quite dangerous. Food can be much better. Place is awesome for sure!!. A little bit of improvement can go a long way!!
Local is good But restuarant services need to be improved. Food is delicious. Breakfast is also good. Bathrooms need to be upgraded. Overall satisfied with the stay.
It is one of the most disturbing hotel among the entire Orchid group. Hotel has no lift facility. Even tho hotel has big menu in its restaurant but it's only for show, they have only Dal palak and gobi to serve. You can't expect South Indian. The curd is pathetic. Breakfast is OK. No body will pick up calls in reception nor room service till 7. 00a....Read More
Location is superb but the quality of service and cleanliness need to be improved. The rooms are small and the cost for the room is slightly higher side. Food is average and few other services need to be added for the price they are collecting. Anyway nice stay for a day in heritage building.
Needs to be maintained ... Just that it's got a beautiful view of the garden. There is no lift in the hotel which is not a good thing incase you have any elderly person staying and has an issue in climbing stairs I guess they should take this into consideration and work on it.
Top Reviews of Royal Orchid Brindavan Garden
The Royal orchid is within the Brindavan gardens and offers a hilltop view of the entire gardens. Only 24 rooms means this is a very exclusive location, shared with only a few people at a time. Every modern facility is offered within this heritage hotel room. Huge balcony with the view that was featured in a lot of the older/ classic Bollywood movies. Huge rooms with gigantic windows which look out on the gardens. One of the most comfortable beds ever with and olden times charm, which just cannot be recreated in today's world of furniture malls and ikea flat packs. The friendly service by the staff, who really become your friends left me with only 1 thought when I checked out. I would love to return and stay at least a week. There are more expensive places, however I don't think they are as exclusive as this place. At check-out, the manager had a wonderful surprise for us, to be able to visit a special part of the garden, which is not open to everyone and required special permission to be arranged. We got the best pictures there. This is one of my nicest hotel stays in an Indian hotel.
Our stay here was very relaxed and enjoyable one. With the Garden at our disposal for enjoying the view, walk along the flowers and the fountains, it turned out to be a most memorable holiday.
We spent the new years eve at Royal Orchid at Brindavan Gardens near Mysore. The main USP of the Hotel as mentioned in several other reviews is the Brindavan Gardens and the KRS Dam. The building itself is old and colonial. All rooms face the gardens and it seems the idea of the architects was very much evident that the residents should be able to take in as much of the magnificent scenery as possible during their stay. The property is well maintained. It may not have all the gadgetry as seen in a newly constructed property but one must not lose sight of the fact that it is a heritage building which must have been built in the pre independence era. The facilities are good for a hotel of its rating and the property is maintained spick and span. Rooms are well equipped and good. Any room can be preferred depending on the budget as all of them face the gardens as mentioned earlier. Food: The buffet on offer for the New Year's Eve left a lot to be desired. The variety was not much or tasty and it was a bit disappointing. New year program was more of a hype than anything else. The DJ's seemed to be amateurs and were quite directionless. The choice of music was quite pathetic and it was left to the guests to create pockets of entertainment. Breakfast seemed to be more organised with a mix of continental and Indian cuisine. The service though was good and the staff quite attentive and responsive to the requirement of the guests. This place can be visited at any time of the year given the fantastic weather of Mysore and surrounding areas. This place is very suitable for unwinding after a very stressful period as the scenery really soothes the mind.
Though I have booked for Queen room, I have upgraded to King room. Because the queen room I found bit compact and more pricey. Pros: Location of the hotel is excellent. With wooden flooring and screens covering the plus size windows and doors are awesome. The interior lights and the bed arrangement is superb. One can get a complete view of Brindavan garden from the terrace. The elephant bar is also feels good. The nirvana terrace is a nice place for candle light dinner. Cons: Quality in room furnitures can still be improved. Wash room feels old. Compared to other hotels in city this looks like more pricey, but only the location and room interior are the plus points. Food at the restaurant is too costly.
This resort is situated in the premises of the beautiful Brindavan Gardens. The view from all the rooms is very pleasant. The staff, ambiance and the rooms are very good. The rooms are spacious. But there is some scope of improvement. 1. The food served is good but it requires some kind of variety including the complimentary breakfast. 2. The swimming pool is very small. This can be broadened. 3. The hot water facility can be improved. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for us. I recommend this resort for people who would like to sit back and relax from their daily hectic schedules. (Stayed from 3rd October, 2015 to 4th October, 2015).
