Sair Sapata is a tourism and entertainment complex situated on the banks of the Upper Lake in Bhopal. Developed by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, it is spread over an area of 24.56 acres, and was inaugurated on September 29, 2011. Aimed at promoting tourism, the complex has attractions like musical fountain, two acres of children’s play area, toy train and a suspension bridge, among other things.

There is also a suspension bridge which connects Prempura and Sewania. This bridge is built along the lines of the Lachman Jhula in Haridwar. It is the main attraction of Sair Sapata and is 183.20 m long and 3.6 m wide. The bridge is built of RCC deck slabs and is believed to be the first pedestrian bridge in India to be built this way. Boat rides can be taken in the lake, in small pedal boats. In addition, there are four food kiosks, a restaurant, three viewpoints, etc.

"Lovely place"

This is the place which I love most. There is a bridge which looks like a London Bridge. Bridge looks more pretty at night because of fancy and colourful lights. There are also food huts where I got very tasty food to eat. Overall the place is good must go once.

"Never ever visit this place"

  • 1.0/7

Most worst place I have ever visited. Even after changing for their ridiculous park, they use to change extra bucks for the toy train which takes you for a ride to their that small and tiny park. Food which were served was just as fodder with high price.

Siar sapata is a best place to visit in Bhopal. The Sair Sapata has a hanging bridge, park, rides, musical fountain. Also it gives you many activities to do. The Sapata has restaurant to relax and enjoy with your family and friends. Also the Sapata gives you a good view of nature and lakes. You can enjoy musical fountain as it the is important thing to see. My recommendation is to visit it in evening so that you can see the lighting effects on the bridge.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. It is very cool. No one can ever get bored here. This place also have a small amusement park having different types of swings & a small rail which runs through the park. Various types of street food is also available here. This is very well maintained sort of place.

This amusement park on the other side of the lake is an excellent outing on a evening for kids. There are numerous rides and many chowpatty style food stalls. The bridge on the lake is the real attractions and is really very beautiful.

"Best picnic destination of Bhopal"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted May 30, 2014
This place is developed in its current form only in last few years. It has a very prominent bridge structure which looks awesome in the evening with all lighting arrangements. There is toy train ride in the premises. Lots of food options are available from casual dining, fine dining, and roadside dining. There is a play area for children as well. One of the best places to spend your evening in Bhopal.
